"I had a small project that involved increasing the diameter of holes for three shower valves from 3/4 inch to 1-5/8 inches. This involved cutting into marble tile. Maurizio and his team were very courteous, professional, expedient and efficient. They did a fantastic job."

"Andrea is a true craftsman! He repaired the natural stone tile on the walls of our master bath shower. The quality of his work is outstanding. Andrea also replaced cracked grout lines in our kitchen floor travertine marble. Other tile contractors had refused to do the work for fear of damaging the travertine. Andrea completed the work without hesitation AND it looks great! He also repaired masonry in our bluestone walkways and steps. Of course, like any countertop material, nothing is 100% guaranteed, and homeowners should refrain from using knives or other sharp objects directly on the countertop. Yet, homeowners can rest assured that Caesarstone® is one of the most durable countertop options.

There are three main downsides to quartzite: the cost, the porosity, and the weight. As a natural stone, there’s a level of scarcity that can drive up the price of certain types of quartzite. Even more common varieties are less affordable than synthetic materials like laminate and other natural stones like granite. 

You’ll also have to reseal your quartzite countertop annually to combat the natural porosity and reinforce your cabinets to account for the added weight.

It all comes down to rarity and demand. Granite rocks with unique patterns or rare colorways like red, purple, and blue are more expensive than traditional designs. Some types of blue granite are extremely rare, like Azul Aran and Blue Bahia, driving the price up even further. The most expensive type of all is a unique design called Van Gogh granite. As the name suggests, it sort of looks like a painting. 

Common causes include impact, heat, and improper cleaning agents. Regular maintenance prevents major issues.

While quartz is highly stain-resistant, it is not completely stain-proof. Spills, including water, should be wiped up as soon as possible to prevent staining. Minor stains are usually not permanent and can be removed using a quartz-safe cleaner, a simple mixture of dish soap and water, or a baking soda paste applied with a soft microfiber cloth.
