"Aqua Doctor did a fantastic job with my kitchen sink project. I had switched out my sink from a double to a single and needed the connections set up with my 1970's era plumbing. They came out to do a free estimate, offered me a fair price to complete the work, and finished the job the same day. They were friendly and great to work with, and I appreciated that they are a family owned business. I've had no issues with the plumbing and would definitely recommend their work!"

"Ken replaced the wax ring under my toilet. On time! He was awesome and did a beautiful job. He caulked around the toilet base. It had not been caulked in years. It looks so nice and clean. Very efficient. Will call only him in the future"

"Tim is very personable and tells it like it is while educating the customer. He brainstormed possible solutions to my problem and worked with me when I didn't fully understand. Sewer men make a lot of money, but it is hard, dirty work and they deserve it. His prices were the most reasonable that I had seen for a job like this. He and his laborer worked hard and never stopped, they did not try to run up the price by taking more time, and they allowed us time to make decisions while they continued working. They also take cash, check, or charge!! We had a rain storm come about 12 hours after they finished their job which proved that the job was done 100% correctly! We know that was money well spent!"

"The response time for my replacement toilet installation was excellent. The whole repair went smooth. The repairer was polite, knowable, and efficient. He double checked possible tricky fixes before he left -- And he cleaned my floor and took my big empty box with him. CAB is in my phone under plumber now. Very happy."

"Chad from Cosmic Plumbing did a great job communicating throughout the process. He came in and diagnosed the situation, explained it to me, and suggested how he was planning to resolve the issue. He then did the work and in less than 30 minutes he was done. The price seem fair and I would definitely hire him again."

Toilets questions, answered by experts

Adding another bathroom isn’t the most complicated project you can undertake, but it’s in the top 5%. Anything involving plumbing and electrical work should be handed off to a pro, and adding a half bath involves both. A contractor may charge $70 to $120 an hour for labor, but chances are they can work much faster and more accurately than a DIYer.

No, your toilet tank should not empty completely when you flush. Although the water level will dip a lot after you flush, it shouldn’t be totally empty. If your tank is empty, you might have issues with your fill valve, float ball, or toilet trip lever. You should check all of your toilet parts to ensure they’re working correctly and make any necessary adjustments.

What you include in your bathroom remodel will depend on your budget, personal preferences, and the current condition of your bathroom. Bathroom renovations often involve changing out the shower or tub, faucet, showerhead, tiles, flooring, mirrors, sink, cabinets, and vanities. You may also want to upgrade the wallcovering, adding new wallpaper or paint.

Emergency plumbers charge a significantly higher rate than for standard service, typically 1.5 to 3 times the normal hourly cost. You can expect to pay between $100 and $500 per hour, with an average of around $200 per hour. In addition to the higher hourly rate, many plumbers charge a flat emergency service or trip fee, which can be between $150 and $300. The final cost depends on the timing of the call; prices are highest for major holidays, followed by weekends and after-hours service on weekdays. For a complex job on a major holiday, a master plumber's rate could reach as high as $600 per hour.

The main cause of bathroom leaks is seals and connectors that loosen or deteriorate over time, causing leaks to develop. It's important to stay on top of your bathroom materials, as toilets, showers, and sinks all have different lifespans. Toilets and faucets last between 10 and 15 years on average with regular maintenance, but different parts may have shorter lifespans than others.
