"Aqua Doctor did a fantastic job with my kitchen sink project. I had switched out my sink from a double to a single and needed the connections set up with my 1970's era plumbing. They came out to do a free estimate, offered me a fair price to complete the work, and finished the job the same day. They were friendly and great to work with, and I appreciated that they are a family owned business. I've had no issues with the plumbing and would definitely recommend their work!"

"The response time for my replacement toilet installation was excellent. The whole repair went smooth. The repairer was polite, knowable, and efficient. He double checked possible tricky fixes before he left -- And he cleaned my floor and took my big empty box with him. CAB is in my phone under plumber now. Very happy."

"Chad from Cosmic Plumbing did a great job communicating throughout the process. He came in and diagnosed the situation, explained it to me, and suggested how he was planning to resolve the issue. He then did the work and in less than 30 minutes he was done. The price seem fair and I would definitely hire him again."

"Antionio and Jerry are amazing. They showed up at just the right time (I work from home and I had some conference calls starting). After a quick show of the toilet that needed fixing, and the sink that needed to be installed, they got right to work. They were quiet, and worked smoothly and quickly. I now have a working toilet and a gorgeous new sink."

Toilets questions, answered by experts

Usually it’s fine to leave a toilet clogged overnight, as long as it’s not close to overflowing. In some cases, the extra time may give the clog time to work itself out. For example, if it’s caused by an excess of toilet paper, letting it sit could result in the clog dissolving and you may be able to simply flush it away by the time you wake up.

Only let it sit though if you have more than one toilet in the home.

Yes, a toilet, sink, and shower can share the same vent. This is a common plumbing practice that can simplify installation and save space. When sharing a vent, it's important that the toilet is located downstream from all other fixtures. You will also need to ensure the vent pipe is large enough to handle the demands of all connected fixtures without compromising its effectiveness. Because requirements can vary, you should always check your local building and plumbing codes. Consulting a qualified plumber is recommended to ensure the vent is properly sized, installed, and adheres to all local regulations.

Some older homes have toilets in the basement to combat sewage backups. This type of toilet, also known as a Pittsburgh potty, acted as a safety valve over the incoming sewer line. If a line backed up, it would back up into the toilet because it was the lowest fixture in the home, keeping it out of sight and away from the finished areas of the house.

Basement toilets were also used by workers with messy jobs, like those who worked in coal mines or steel mills. This way, they could clean up and avoid tracking dirt through their home.

Depending on the type of renovations needed, the cost to build an ADA bathroom ranges between $700 and $8,050. On average, most homeowners pay around $4,375 for this remodel. This type of remodeling requires following strict ADA accessibility guidelines to ensure a universal design.

While gasket-sealed PVC flanges are the type most commonly found in homes, flanges come in a range of different materials, including copper, brass, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum, that pros sometimes secure with glue. If this is the case in your bathroom, the replacement is a job better left to the pros.
