We also appreciated that Jon was able to provide a preliminary quote for services so that we knew what to expect and could make an educated decision about whether to proceed. Two plumbers -- George and Dave -- arrived within a few hours and got to work. They were efficient, polite, and professional. They ran several tests to determine what the source of the problem might be, offered and assessment, and gave us a few options for how to proceed. What I really appreciated, though, was that they were willing to make specific recommendations when asked. I felt like we got good information and good advice. At one point during the work, they got Jon on the phone to update him on the situation, and Jon also took his time to talk through our options for how to proceed. Ultimately, they replaced the toilet, and in the process brought the contact point where the toilet meets the floor up to code. "The provider followed up with an estimate to remodel each bathroom.  The estimate detailed the service that would be done, but was lacking in the dollar amount assigned to each service.  The estimate also included product to be installed, but no detail as to a brand or product identification.  Follow-up questions for details resulted in vague answers.  The rendering of measurements was so tiny, it would be useful only to this provider, and therefore useless for me or another provider.  I paid for it, shouldn't I be able to use it?  The lack of detail and transparency was the decision not to use this provider."

"I called around 2pm with no heat since the prior day, and they arrived the same day around 4:30pm. They listened to the description of the problem and started testing first the pilot, thermostat, the power to the furnace, the power to the aquastat, and all that was testing correctly. It was actually needing a new aquastat (I have a boiler for radiators throughout the house).  Since Shawn does not work on many boilers (mostly furnaces), he called another person who knew boilers and used FaceTime and his phone to show the part to the expert, and took pictures of the aquastat to take to the supply house.
They needed to get the part, and called me from the supplier to approve the purchase of the aquastat.  They replaced it and also changed the thermostat (to a replacement I already had) and room position which also needed to be done.
They cleaned up what they worked on, did everything to my satisfaction and charged a very fair labor price over the cost of the part.
I would recommend them highly for furnace and boiler problems.

"Antonio came to the house to do the multi point inspection and testing. It should be noted that I set up the appointment and then unexpectedly ended up in the hospital. My wife felt involved in everything going on and when done, Antoni explained exactly what he found with 5 cracks in basement walls that would give us trouble. "I noticed there was water in the cabinet under my kitchen sink.  I turned on the kitchen faucet and noted the U drain was dripping water.  I placed a pot under the drip with a towel under the pot.  I then did a search on Angie's list to find a plumber.  The first name that came up was Charlies Plumbing - Heating and Sewerage Service.  I noted on the map that he had done work in my area. Since it was late in the day, I waited until morning to call.  Charlie answered his phone after just a few rings.  I told him my problem and where I lived.  He stated he was at a job and would call me later.  He called a few hours later and stated he could stop by and check out the problem.  True to his word, he rang the bell and Charlie and a co worker diagnosed the problem quickly - the pipe was cracked and needed to be replaced.  He had the part that needed replacement and completed the job.  I would definitely call Charlies Plumbing again and recommend his plumbing services.
