"The work was performed to my satisfaction - it was meticulously done and I felt that they did not rush the job. They came on at least 3 occasions to put the layers of stain and the final polyurethane coat. They even found that the top of my front door wood trim had never ben stained and they offered to stain it for free. They are courteous, professional and clean up their tools and supplies before they leave for the day. Highly recommend this painter."

"It went very well. Angel Torres was easy to work with and responded quickly to my initial phone call. All of the work was completed in a timely manner, and he took great care in both prepping the door, and in the clean-up afterwards. The garage door looks super - way better than I ever thought possible (circa 1958). The price was reasonable too. He was also very helpful in advising me as to how to go about updating/re-painting the outside of the rest of my house. So, I am looking forward to Spring 2021 when he will be painting my entire house (aluminum siding, trim, awnings, re-glazing windows, etc.). Thank you again, Mr. Torres."

"Our work was all inside. The painters completed all work in an efficient and timely manner. They were friendly and thoroughly professional. One area needed additional coverage and it was done without any delay, and at no additional cost. My wife and I are pleased with the way the job was done. Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

Various kinds of substances and deck preservatives act as protective coatings for wood to prevent rot, which is caused by water getting into the wood and creating cracks and splits. Stains, paints, and sealants are the three best options to protect your wood, but there are also oils, varnishes, and waxes available. You’ll need to reapply sealant at least once per year, and you should inspect your wood deck regularly to look for signs of damage or general wear and tear.

Rags used with oil-based stains are highly flammable and can spontaneously combust in the right conditions. To reduce the fire risk, throw them in a metal container after use and add rocks on top to secure them. Add an inch of water and seal the container. Take the rags in the container to a hazardous waste factory as soon as possible.

Avoid using cleaning products that are abrasive or contain bleach or acidic components on composite decking to avoid discoloration. Early-generation Trex decking isn’t designed to handle pressure washer cleaning—and if you use them on second-generation boards, always use a low setting to avoid the risk of damage that can risk voiding your warranty.

Yes, you must thoroughly clean your deck before staining. If you don't, dirt, debris, grease, and mildew can get trapped between the wood and the new stain. This not only looks unsightly but also prevents the stain from penetrating the wood properly, reducing its ability to protect the deck from weather and UV rays. As a result, the stain won't last as long or look as good. Any existing mold or mildew left untreated can continue to grow beneath the new stain, potentially leading to wood rot and structural damage. Always wait at least 48 hours after cleaning for the wood to dry completely before applying stain.

Yes, you can and should paint or stain pressure-treated wood, as this helps prevent the surface from cracking. However, it is crucial to wait for the wood to dry out completely from the chemical treatment process before applying a finish. If the wood is still wet, the paint will not adhere properly. The drying time can range from weeks to six months. To test if the wood is ready, drip some water onto a board. If the water is absorbed, the wood is dry enough for painting or staining. If the water beads up on the surface, it needs more time to dry. You can build with the wood while it's still wet, but you must wait for it to dry before painting.
