"Set an appointment for the following week. Scott will need to order new lights and dimmers for the project and we set an appointment for January 8, 2022. Electricians called and said they were running one hour late with one of their jobs. Had problems locating the transformer boxes as two were hidden behind the cabinets and they couldn't gain access to them. They were able to replace the strip lighting above the sink area and said if I could find a replacement puck light for one location, they would be able to come back and install it, but indicated it would be more economical for us to have another job for them to do. We did have another project that was discussed. I would have preferred that the electricians try to find the replacement puck light rather than me having to do all the footwork."

"On November 15th Chicago was hit with some extreme wind gusts that caused my water heater pilot light to extinguish. I thought this was a simple reset, but the problem was more complicated. I learned the electrode was defective. Had I undertaken this project as a DIY, I would have spent more time than I would have cared to try to figure out why I could not get a flame for my water heater. I was smart to call Four Seasons. My technician figured out the problem quickly. There are times when calling a professional makes sense. I am not an expert on water heaters outside of knowing how to turn it on, clean it periodically, and knowing when I need a new one. Thank you Four Seasons for responding quickly and bringing me hot water."

"I’ve been building houses for over 30 years. I’ve used many electrical contractors thru the years. Artur with storm electric has been my electrician for the last 7 years now. I would highly recommend him and his crews on any project as he is very knowable on all electrical projects."

"Gary did a great job. He communicated with me promptly to set up the appointment and was able to come early. He ran the line, installed the switch for the light and fan and cleaned up in the said time. Would defiantly use him again."

"I purchased an Aprilaire bypass humidifier via  Angie's List big deal for $369.

Jason from Black Diamond arrived to install.  Humidifier was actually similar Bryant model, not Aprilaire brand.  I elected to upgrade from the manual model to automatic control with external sensor for an additional $225.

The installation was done professionally and quickly.  I was disappointed that the upgrade to the automatic control did not include the digital readout - it is just an automatic humidistat adjustment based on the external sensor.

Chandelier Installation questions, answered by experts

Generally speaking, you can install one recessed light for every 4 to 6 square feet. A 12x12 room is 144 square feet, which would need 24 to 36 recessed lights. The wattage you use for the light bulbs and the height of your ceilings can also impact the number of recessed lights you need for a 12x12 room.

The cost of a chandelier often ranges from $100 to $4,500. Your total cost will be determined by the design of the chandelier and the materials used. The more intricate the design, the more you’ll end up paying.

You can install a ceiling light fixture using a similar process to the one described in this guide. Ceiling lights can have added difficulty because of their location. Working on a ladder with your head tipped back and your arms in the air isn't ideal, but with big projects come big rewards.

The average cost to install outdoor or landscape lighting is around $4,000, with most projects ranging from $2,000 to $6,000. The total cost can vary widely depending on several factors, including the number of fixtures, design complexity, and the type and quality of the lights used, such as wall sconces, pathway lights, or lamp posts. Other factors that influence the price are the square footage of the area being lit, the amount of electrical work needed, any required excavation or trenching, and local permitting costs. For specific types, you might pay around $100 for pathway or string lighting and up to $700 for lamp post lighting.

Solar landscape lighting is the easiest type of outdoor lighting to install. Because these lights don’t require being hardwired to an electrical connection, installation consists of simply staking the lights into the ground, with no wires required. Solar lights are a good option for houses without outdoor outlets or for areas that are much farther from the house itself.
