Nelson Electric is the best electrical contractor I’ve used in my thirty-eight years of owning and updating my homes. It is difficult to find an excellent contractor who is willing to take on a major remodeling project in old construction, and who handles it efficiently, cost-effectively, and with perfection. This time we were remodeling a 110 year-old bathroom. When we got down to the studs, joists, and rafters, the plans were worthless because of all the surprises. Unphased, the crew was able to trace every hidden wire to destination and source, re-route them as needed, install a new, larger, circuit breaker box, pull wire through neatly, clearly identify and label everything, and finish beautifully the lighting, overhead heating, floor heating, and exhaust fixtures, making for a beautiful bath. Set an appointment for the following week. Scott will need to order new lights and dimmers for the project and we set an appointment for January 8, 2022. Electricians called and said they were running one hour late with one of their jobs. Had problems locating the transformer boxes as two were hidden behind the cabinets and they couldn't gain access to them. They were able to replace the strip lighting above the sink area and said if I could find a replacement puck light for one location, they would be able to come back and install it, but indicated it would be more economical for us to have another job for them to do. We did have another project that was discussed. I would have preferred that the electricians try to find the replacement puck light rather than me having to do all the footwork.

These guys were great communicators, gave a fair quote, and did an excellent job with a new outlet install. Highly recommended and I'd definitely hire again.

Scott came out to trouble shoot our electrical problem when we could not get 4 other electrical companies to call us back. They quickly discovered the problem and made repairs. They were knowledgeable, professional and personable. Definitely recommend them and will definitely use them again when needed.

These guys were excellent. Two workers showed up promptly at the starting time, checked out the job and explained everything they would be doing. They used tarps to keep things clean and were very careful carrying in ladders and supplies. They asked questions to make sure it was exactly what I wanted and made suggestions where needed. They did a great job at a great price!! I would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone who needs electrical work done.

Excellent. Eric did a great job. He was quick but thorough and explained what he was doing along the way. Also, as a bonus, he told me where I could get an odd-shaped light that I had been trying to replace with no luck for a long time. I would definitely use Scott Nelson Electric again.

It went great. When I contacted the company on a Friday, the owner, Scott Nelson, returned my call right away. Though they couldn't fit me in for a regular service call for another 3 weeks, Nelson agreed to come by that next Monday and give me an assessment and estimate about the electrical panel. He said if the fuse issue was something quick to fix, he would try to take of it. Nelson arrived on time on Monday and was able to both give me an assessment (of what it would cost to upgrade my panel from 20 to 30) as well as assure me that, right now, everything was fine except that something was triggering the arc fault circuit and that needed looking at. Luckily, one of the service calls that day had cancelled so about 2 hours later, Ben and Eric came over to diagnose and fix the problem. They were friendly yet professional and though it took some time to figure out what was tripping the circuit, they were able to do so and now I have working lights at the top of the stairs and on the front porch. I really appreciated how both Scott Nelson and his workers, Ben and Eric, explained things to me and they handled my big, friendly dogs well. I will definitely be using Scott Nelson Electric in the future for any electrical needs.

Eric is a young electrician that takes pride on his work and loves what he's doing! He was on time and very professional, he finished the whole project in timely manner and I really liked the fact that Scott charges based on job and not hourly, a huge plus!!! Definitely I will hire them again and I'm happy to see young blood coming up and doing such and excellent job!

One 9/24/17 I had them install outdoor lighting in a 30' x 30' fenced-in dog exercise area. They ran conduit for the wiring and installed the flood-light fixtures I wanted, along with installing 2 more coach lights on the house and outdoor switches to control everything. Scott Nelson was terrific to work with. He was prompt in getting back to my initial query, came out very soon to discuss the project and give me a detailed proposal. We scheduled the project for 2 months later to take advantage of my slow period. Scott is an excellent communicator and answered all my emails and follow-ups promptly. Two of his guys, Ben & Eric, came out to do the work. Scott met with them at my house that morning to be sure they understood the job and to discuss some minor changes I wanted. They showed up when they said they would and everything about the work day proved them to be very professional, skilled, friendly, and easy to work with. They also did a great job cleaning up after the project. -- other than the new lights, you'd never have known they'd set foot on the place. The job they did for me was exceptionally well done. I could not be happier with the completed job and with the entire process of working with them, start to finish. I would highly recommend them to neighbors, friends and family. Added note 7/3/18: Doing business with Scott Nelson Electric has turned out to the the nicest experience I’ve ever had with ANY service company. When they installed permanent outdoor lighting in my gravel yard last September I could not have been happier with how it turned out. I use it every night of the year, several times each night and it makes the area I work in with the dogs safe and well-lit. When I discovered one of the lengths of conduit had a small split in the seam due to a manufacturing defect, I contacted them. The split was letting rain water into the conduit. I so appreciate that they were willing to come out and fix the problem right away, no charge. I am very grateful that they stood behind their work and were so responsive. These days we hear too many complaints about things and when something goes right, no one says a word. Well, things went right today and I am very happy that I chose to go with such a reputable and professional company. Thank you so much! I will do whatever I can to spread the good word.

Scott Nelson came out and gave estimate same day and I called them back and set up appointment to do the work the following week. Installers were early and very friendly.
