"Called company on Monday and got an appointment for an inspection on Wednesday. That following Monday, the technician arrived and went through each step is sealing off the concrete foundation to the water leak. The fix worked well and was put to the test with the recent record rains. Not one drop of water came into the basement."

"Very easy to get an appointment on short notice when I had limited time to get a radon test done in the process of purchasing a home. Their price was also slightly lower than an estimate I'd received from another company, and the technician was more thorough about explaining the process than the other company I considered."

"This company understands customer service.  My call was returned immediately and was able to have someone out to issue a quote within days of contact. We received a quote and had the work done within a week.  We have had all the big name companies out to give us quotes and High Tech Waterproofing provided a better option. Their quote was more cost effective, involved no hazardous fumes, no stud removal (that others had requested), and still included a warranty.  I am thankful thankful that I ran across their review on Angie's List. We've yet to have spring rains to test the job done, but I feel very comfortable with our choice.  I would recommend this company to any one.

Radon Detection and Reduction questions, answered by experts

Keeping radon from getting into your home is much better than having to get rid of it once it's already indoors. While there may not be a way to fully prevent radon from getting into your home, there are things you can do to reduce the gas's ability to enter.

Sealing foundation cracks and openings can help keep the gas from seeping inside. Improving air flow, such as by opening windows, can also be helpful. If you're building your home from scratch, talk to your contractor about using radon-resistant construction to keep the gas out.

You can vent radon out of your house sometimes by simply opening a window, but it won’t remove the source, and will likely rise above recommended levels quickly. A professional will be needed to assess your home, and determine the best strategy for radon removal. Active radon sump pumps and soil depressurization systems are often used to forcefully vent the radon from your home.

There are steps you can take as a homeowner to remediate radon yourself. While a radon reduction professional can make the biggest impact in your home, you can make efforts to improve radon levels on your own by sealing cracks, increasing ventilation, and testing for radon regularly.

The cost to replace a radon fan ranges from $300 to $600 for the fan itself, with installation adding an additional $200 to $500. Overall, the total cost for replacement can range from $500 to $1,100, depending on factors such as the fan model, home size, and local labor rates. If the fan is part of a larger radon mitigation system, the price may be higher.

Yes, many systems include warranties for performance. Confirm terms with your installer.
