Out of many contractors I called to get an estimate, he was the only one willing to provide options to have the project fit our budget. Once we agreed to move forward, he worked diligently with the architect and village to get the permits finalized (which is a difficult task in my town). Once the work started, he provided almost daily updates of the work that will be completed and any anticipated inspections (which we passed easily). He also reached out himself to finalize details from big items like windows to small ones like the molding. The result was a beautiful sunroom and deck which I receive compliments on regularly. Best things I appreciated about the experience was 1) The proposal was incredibly detailed and procedural, which is something our other candidates did not provide, 2) Jim, John and Jose showed up every weekday, consistently and timely, and took the necessary and thoughtful steps to protect the rest of the house, 3) The work was performed carefully with good attention to detail, 4) While there were unexpected circumstances during the remodel that resulted in slightly more work and money than originally proposed, all of it was fairly priced and necessary for what we wanted, 5) Jim was receptive in discussing different options and really made an effort to figure out solutions that would be best for function and aesthetics. "Found a very slow leak above my drop celing in the basement coming from a copper tube connecting water dispenser from basement to the fridge. Called Mr. Handyman to ask if they could help, and they confirmed they could fix it. Had a gentleman out to the house in about an hour, and upon brief inspection, he explained what he would do to address the problem. He finished the work within the hour, and walked me through what he did as we inspected it together. Very professioinal and responsive.
