"We had a very large tree that needed to be removed in our backyard with very tight excess to it. Deven and the crew did a great job, no, they did an excellent job. From cutting down the tree to removal of all the limbs and grinding out the two stumps it was done very professionally. This company does and follows thru with everything they promise to do. We are so happy with the respectful way they treated us and our property. I would highly recommend this company. They are Great!"

"I had major tree trimming that needed to be done. These were huge oak trees 40 to 60 feet high, probably more. They brought in heavy equipment and a bucket crane and a very experienced and very friendly crew. It was a huge job. They arrived on time and were highly efficient and artistic in how they cut these trees. The branches were very large and complicated to reach over the house. They did truly an extraordinary job. I was amazed at how well it looked and the quality of the work, They even swept the yard clean of all debris. I very highly recommend this company."

"If I could give 10 stars I would! Dale and his crew did a fantastic job, and cleaned up the yard! The 200 foot tree was in the back yard with a 4 foot gate to get his lift through, no problem! If I could give 10 stars I would! I will definitely hire him again if necessary"

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Make sure the tree roots soak around a day before you dig the tree up for the transplant. Keep the roots wet while the tree is above ground. After the transplant is finished, provide consistent water every day for the first month or so. You don’t want to overwater the tree, but you do want to keep the roots wet so they can thrive in their new environment.

While trees can grow in the curb strip between the sidewalk and the street, this placement often poses the problem of interfering with overhead power lines. It’s best to consult your local utility provider and tree planting service before transplanting a tree that might grow into power lines. Also, you should never work within 20 feet of a live power line to avoid the risk of electric shock. Tree branches should never touch nearby power lines, so it’s essential to ensure your tree isn’t in danger of growing too close to them.

Tree experts don’t advise against digging through tree roots, but instead encourage caution and consultation with a local arborist to make sure you don’t damage the tree’s structure or interrupt its water or nutrient intake. An arborist can recommend specific practices when digging and help prune the roots or dig a trench for utilities with a tool that can remove soil without touching the tree’s roots.

Yes, cutting a tree's roots can cause it to fall, particularly if major support roots are severed. In extreme cases, trimming roots can affect the tree's structure and stability. Many crucial roots are located just below the soil's surface. If you make severe cuts to roots more than 2 inches in diameter, you risk impacting the tree's water flow and its ability to withstand severe winds or storms. Even cutting roots less than half an inch in diameter under or outside the tree's canopy can cut off its water supply, causing it to decline, die, and eventually topple.

Tree roots can take weeks to years to die, depending on the method you use. Chemical herbicides take the least amount of time—typically between three and four weeks—while homemade methods, like covering an old stump with leaves, could take between seven and eight years. If you’re unsure which method to use or how quickly you need to act, consulting with a pro is always a good idea.
