"I got a call from them within 1 minute of contacting Home Advisor. Less than an hour later I had a brand new screen and screen door that is sliding properly again. Fantastic service all around. Highly recommend."

"Fine work, professional, no issues. There was no prior existing storm door. The jam needed a modification to support the new storm door, and his experience proved that he was prepared to do it professionally and easily. I would recommend Mike."

"Owner Howard Kenneth is unique. He is patient, never at all pushy, and thinks about pleasing his customers above and beyond what any other contractor would do. The 2 men who installed the windows did so quietly, seldom even talking, and you could tell they were serious about what they were doing. The 5 windows were installed impeccably, the door and frame fit perfectly. I couldn't be more pleased and anyone in the market for windows should consider this company FIRST and foremost!! Tom"

"Tom did a great job replacing two exterior doors at a very fair price. Tom was very good with communication and even came out when I had some questions on the project. He was able to come out and complete the project right away. Highly recommend his company."

"It went very well. Steve was punctual, professional, pleasant, and accommodating. We added two change orders: repair the front storm door and install a new doorbell, which Steve did cheerfully. The price covering the additional work was reasonable. Steve did a great job. We'd definitely have him back. Beyond that, working with the owners, Andy and Anne, was very pleasant. They are honest and responsive. In fact, they did two additional jobs for us that I will post reviews for now."

"Highly recommend Doors and More for any door repair. Owner Russ came out to my building as scheduled to fix a pivot problem with a storefront door. Was very professional and knowledgeable and offered a better long term solution for the repair. Worked quickly and charged exactly what he quoted over the phone. Pricing was very good as was the quality of repair. I will definitely use them again for any door repair and highly recommend this company!!!"

"Jim came to install acrylic panels I had purchased above a shower. He wasn’t upset when I added changing out the shower arm and head and shower controller. While he was working we discovered the door didn’t open well over the new carpet being installed at the same time so he was able to cut the door bottom to fit the new carpet too. Everything was done good and his charge was very fair. I will use him again in the future."

Doors questions, answered by experts

A door sill is the bottom portion of your door frame, while a threshold is the transition piece that separates the two types of flooring between rooms, or serves as the transition between the interior and exterior on an exterior door. The threshold sits on top of the door sill. A kick plate is a protective plate that sits against the face of a door to prevent damage to the door from feet and shoes. You’ll usually only find kick plates on exterior doors, while every door has a door sill, and most exterior and interior doors have a threshold.

You might assume that having two locks on one door will offer more protection than only one lock, but there may not be an advantage. While there’s nothing wrong with having two locks if you feel it’s best for your living situation, rest assured having one high-quality deadbolt installed correctly will offer a high level of protection.

French doors usually have two handles, with one for each door. However, some French doors only include a single door adjacent to a panel of glass that doesn’t open or close. In that case, you’d have a single handle on the door side and no handle on the stationary side.

There are a few reasons why barn doors are appealing to homebuyers: they’re unique and add a rustic charm to any home. While interior barn doors are a newer favorite of homeowners, when it comes to trendy renovations—like soaking tubs, farmhouse sinks, and barn doors—it’s best to wait to see if the trend withstands the test of time before making the investment.

A prehung door is a door that comes ready to install, already mounted in its frame with hinges and stop molding included. Because everything is factory-aligned, installation is quicker, more precise, and convenient, as you don't need to drill or align the hinges yourself. This makes it a smart option if your current frame is damaged, uneven, or if you're working on a new build. Installation involves fitting the entire unit into the rough opening, shimming and leveling it, and then securing it. If you are replacing an existing prehung door, the process is even simpler, often just requiring you to swap the old unit for the new one and secure it with a few screws. Prehung doors typically cost only slightly more (around $20) than a door slab alone, making them an efficient choice.
