"I contacted F and A Window Cleaning and within a day received a response from Alejandro Carapia indicating that they could indeed do the window washing as well as clean my ceiling fan (in living room in cathedral ceiling) as well as the 12' tall mirror I also have in my living room. He did provide me with a list of the costs of the cleaning of the different sizes of windows and the cleaning of the ceiling fan and mirror. He also indicated that the work could be scheduled at any time with 24 hours advanced notice. His cleaning crew came out the next week and were finished within a couple of hours. They did and excellent job. The costs of the work was much lower than expected especially with the discount I was given. F and A Window Cleaning is an excellent company and I shall certainly hire them again. I highly recommend F and A Window Cleaning Company."

"I had Carter Home Services come out to pressure wash my wooden deck. Nick and Jacob were very professional, courteous and proceeded to do a fantastic job. The pricing was 100% fair for the job that they did. I would not hesitate in recommending or hiring them again!"

"That there is a big difference between typical exterior power washing and professional exterior soft washing. Be sure to educate yourself before you select the next home service to hire. Ask Andrew why Simmons Power & Soft Wash sets himself apart from the competition."

Customers say: Quality work

"What a great job!, My deck looks absolutely beautiful. Antonio, Juan and Edgar (a wonderful family business) stripped, power washed and sanded my cedar deck down to Bare-wood and replaced all the bad wood. They stained all the railing with three coats of white stain and the deck floor and railing tops with 3 coats of dark stain. Juan designed a beautiful privacy wall.. Great care was taken to protect my patio furniture in Grill and house. I plan on having them back to paint my house in the spring! I highly recommend JM painting and remodeling!"

Pressure Washing questions, answered by experts

Yes, pressure washing a wood deck can be a good idea as it effectively lifts ingrained dirt, mold, and mildew, improving the deck's appearance and longevity. However, it must be done carefully, as it's easy to damage the wood, especially softwoods. To pressure wash safely, use a lower pressure setting and a wide, 40-degree fan pattern nozzle (often white). Keep the nozzle at least a foot away from the wood surface and maintain constant motion, avoiding hovering in one spot to prevent gouging.

You should wait until your pavers have completely dried and cured before pressure washing them. Wait at least three to five days, though some sealants may need up to an entire week. Rushing that timeline can mess with the finish, weaken the seal, or leave streaks that are tough to fix. Once the sealant has fully set, stick to a gentle approach. Keep the pressure under 1,500 PSI and hold the nozzle at least two feet from the surface. Anything stronger or closer can blast the joint sand loose or wear down the sealant you just applied.

Yes, most pressure washing companies use your home's water supply, typically from an outdoor spigot. However, some companies can bring their own water in a tank or truck. This is less common and may incur additional costs for filling and hauling the water. It's a good idea to ask a company which method they use when you call for a cost estimate.

It is possible to wash your own roof, but we don’t recommend it. First, getting up on any roof is dangerous without proper safety equipment, especially if wetting a metal roof and making the surface slick. Additionally, it’s easy to damage your roof or force water between roof seams if you use a power washer, which can lead to property damage. Hiring a professional roof cleaner will save you time, keep you safe, and ensure that your roof looks new again without damaging it in the process. Plus, roof cleaning is a relatively affordable home improvement project.

The ideal frequency for pressure washing depends on the surface being cleaned and your local environmental conditions. For a home's exterior with siding that is safe to wash (such as vinyl, cement, or aluminum), a full wash once or twice a year is a good guideline to remove accumulated dirt, grime, mold, and mildew. You may need to wash more frequently if you live in an area with heavy rain or snow, near a dirt road, or if you notice excessive buildup. Other surfaces have different schedules; for example, a frequently used driveway may need cleaning more often, while outdoor patio furniture might only need to be washed every few years. Use your discretion based on how dirty the area gets.
