"Charlie's now my go-to guy for home repairs. He arrives on time, takes care of the job with skill and efficiency, and cleans up afterwards... all for a very fair and reasonable price. An all-around nice guy, too. Highly recommended."

"This company strives for excellence. We have used them a few times for odd jobs but our Christmas lights are definitely our favorite. They are very family oriented and respectful. The hard work and hours they put into making sure our home looked good for the holidays means so much to us."

"Shane, the owner and his wife are fantastic to deal with. They are super friendly and accommodating and seem to really want, and work hard to keep their customers happy. Shane is very thorough, conscientious and does a great job with everything you ask him to do. I noticed that he works quickly at times and will slow down to carefully do the job right. I would highly recommend them for any of your household repair needs..... I wasn't able to list everything here that he has done for me but the things he has range from electrical, mechanical repair of appliances, outdoor and indoor assembly and repair of equipment to name a few. He was even available to put in shutters when I purchased straight from the manufacturer. I will use this company for almost anything I need done around the house. Good help is hard to find, so I am very grateful."

Childproofing questions, answered by experts

Yes, tamper-resistant outlets are a safe and effective way to protect children from electrical hazards. They feature a spring-loaded shutter that blocks the outlet slots when not in use, preventing a child from inserting foreign objects. While they are the safest option available, it's important to note that few things can be considered truly 'childproof.' Children may still try to imitate adults by inserting a plug, so constant supervision around any electrical device is recommended. Tamper-resistant outlets are a much safer solution than childproofing covers, which can be removed by children and may pose a choking hazard.

In many cases, you can DIY home childproofing with success. You can purchase childproofing tools like cabinet locks, outlet covers, and table-edge guards and install them easily.

However, it's best to have a professional childproofing service work on larger projects like pool safety or furniture anchoring. These safety measures can take a lot of time and effort to DIY, plus, you want to ensure the tasks are done correctly to keep your child safe.

Yes, tamper-resistant outlets are designed to be safe for use in homes with children. They feature a spring-loaded shutter that blocks the electrical slots when not in use, which helps protect children from electric shock if they try to insert an object. While they are the safest option available and highly effective, it's important to note that few things are truly 'childproof.' Children may still try to imitate adults by inserting a plug. For this reason, it's best to use tamper-resistant outlets over less effective solutions like plastic covers, which can be removed or pose a choking hazard. Always supervise young children around any electrical outlets or devices.

The best time to hire a childproofing professional is at least three months before your due date. Although it might seem early, proper childproofing takes time, especially if you need extensive services like a pool fence. Getting your house ready now before your child is on the go only helps to protect them at all stages of life.

Many parents, especially first-time parents, agree that professional childproofing is worth it. These professional childproofing services are trained to recognize dangerous home situations that many people would overlook until it's too late. Furthermore, professional childproofing experts have access to top-of-the-line equipment you can't purchase at most stores, providing longevity and peace of mind.
