"We had them install our home security and Wi-Fi networking since we both work from home. Our jobs require us to travel frequently so it was nice to have a professional security system installed. We are able to check the cameras while we are out of town and have reliable internet service while in town. They did a great job and I would recommend them to anyone."

"Wanted to keep up with the new consumer trend of doorbell cameras. Got one for our front door and motion sensors for our main rooms inside. No extra fees or anything weird like that. Straightforward and honest process with this ADT dealer partner."

I am a Residential Service Electrician who has 35 years of experience in three states, and I love and service the Treasure Valley Area. My family lives here, and I have been here working and living here for five years. I have industry experience since the 1980's, and all my work is up to NEC Code or above. I do remodels, lighting, ceiling fans, car chargers, troubleshooting, breakers, and much more. Clean and on time, and my estimates are free.

"Very quick callback & scheduling of work. Josh was right on time for the job. He emphasized the importance of safety on this kind of work, and told me exactly what he was planning to do. I now have a Tesla HPWC installed that can charge 240v @ 64amps (using an 80amp circuit) my electrical service did not have enough headroom to go to the maximum 100amp circuit). Very pleased with the work, a clean job. I'll be recommending Sanderson Electric to any EV owners I know who might need a home charger install."

"We own a small family operated jewelry store and decided to get ADT for protection and surveillance. Prior, we just had Ring and it was not sufficient or reliable. This has clearer cameras and a much better app experience. Happy with our new system and equipment."

FAQs for ring installation projects in Parma, ID

The average cost of a home security system is about $700, ranging from $280 to $1,150. Costs to consider include equipment, surveillance fees, and other additional features. Cost factors that determine your system’s price include the type of security system, materials, labor, activation fees, monthly fees, and permits. Additional features and upgrades may include:

  • Video surveillance monitoring: $40–$65 per month

  • Smart home locks: $150

  • Smart home lighting: $15–$90

  • Smart smoke, fire, and carbon monoxide alarms: $35–$100

  • Smart thermostat: $130–$500

It’s important to ask an electrician a few questions before you commit to hiring them so you can make an informed decision as a consumer. If you’re getting estimates or considering hiring an electrician, ask them these questions:

  • Are you a full-time electrician?

  • Are you bonded, licensed, and insured?

  • What level of experience do you have as an electrician?

  • Can you please share three references?

  • Do you do residential or commercial electrical work?

  • What kinds of electrical work are you most familiar with?

  • Will any subcontractors be performing the work?

  • Are permits and inspections required?

  • Who is responsible for obtaining permits and inspections?

  • What is your schedule?

  • Do you offer a guarantee or warranty on your work?

  • Will you sign a do-not-exceed clause to keep the job within the budget?

Yes, you should get a quote or an estimate from an electrician. Most electricians offer free estimates or quotes. When getting quotes, do your research and verify each electrician’s license. Get quotes from three different electricians to compare. If the prices or items listed appear different on the quotes, ask the electrician to clarify. Learning as much as you can about the electrical work you want done will help you get the most accurate estimate.

Yes, a home security system can be worth it for your peace of mind alone, but it can also save you up to 20% on your home insurance. The insurance savings will help defray the initial setup costs and subscription costs over time. Locations with higher crime rates also make home security systems a valuable investment, but it ultimately depends on your personal preferences and asset values.

Qualified, licensed electricians will charge from $50 to $100 per hour. The cost to hire an electrician for emergency visits may range from $100 to $200 per hour because this urgent service usually takes place during off hours and may require an electrician to leave or reschedule jobs they’re currently working on. Scheduling work on holidays or during periods of high customer demand, like after a major storm, will also lead to higher rates or extra fees.
