"Working with Michael was awesome from beginning to end. He reached out quickly, came over to view the work I needed done, provided a quote within hours, and then agreed to put me on his schedule on the day I needed. He showed up prepared and on time. He did the work quickly and efficiently. He did quality work with a focus on the details. For the trim replacement he initially had the wrong style, but he quickly went out and found the right trim to install it. That for me was key: he took care of me as a customer. There is no doubt that if I ever need a service that Michael provides that he is the person I will call."

"Itâ s a good quality window! This was the second round of windows that we had installed in our house. The price for the windows is high, but the quality is very good."

"Project Task: Install or Replace an Asphalt Shingle Roof & Windows Installation. We have not had our windows installed yet, but I believe they will be great. Josie Layton explained about the company, what to expect during the estimate, and what they do. She was very friendly and courteous and showed great excitement with her job and the company. Dustin Christensen and Brodie Davis have been awesome and made multiple trips to our home which is a couple of hours away to make sure that we were getting exactly what we wanted at a price we could afford. They all made us feel like more than just another customer and spent lots of time talking and actually getting to know us. The only drawback is that Dustin and Brodie are Raiders and Chiefs fans."

"The installers did a great job installing both the windows and doors. Very clean and professional installation. The only negative would be a miscommunication on window function. We initially looked at a Pella vinyl window that had a night latch which we liked. These were west and south facing windows so we wanted to go with something more durable and decided on Pella fiberglass windows. When we asked if the fiberglass model had all the same features, we were told by TVE yes. However, these particular windows apparently don't come with a night latch. The double hungs were also somewhat difficult to close both upper and lower windows. TVE called the Pella rep and asked them to set up a review with us to check function and to see if anything could be done to add a night latch. I very much appreciated TVE's proactive approach on this relatively minor issue."

Metal is one of the best types of hurricane shutters because they are the most durable and longest lasting option. This shutter type will likely cost more than other materials like plywood, but metal hurricane shutters are a permanent solution compared to the temporary nature of putting plywood over your windows during a hurricane. You should also consider hurricane panels and automatic roll-down shutters that are useful for emergency situations.
In most cases, custom window treatments are well worth the investment. Custom window treatments not only elevate your curb appeal and make your home more visually pleasing inside, but they also often do a better job of boosting your home’s energy efficiency than non-custom treatments, and they usually last longer. Plus, specialty window treatments can increase your home value if maintained well, so your investment is more worthwhile in the long run in most cases, too.
Hurricane shutters cost about $3,700 on average, ranging from $1,500 to 5,900, depending on the style, size, materials, and your location. Materials may include metal, plastic, fabric, or wood.
Additional cost factors to consider include the number of windows, the time of year you install, and necessary permits. Keep in mind that if you purchase and install hurricane shutters during hurricane season, namely June through November in most states, you can expect to pay more due to increased demand.
Window replacement costs between $180 and $410 per window, or an average of $280 per window. However, your specific replacement job could cost as little as $100 or as much as $750. Factors such as frame material, the number of windows you need, and the type of glass you order all impact the overall cost. For example, simple double-glazed windows will cost $3 to $6 per square foot, but the stronger tempered glass ranges from $12 to $14 per square foot.
Custom window treatments cost around $900 per window, and prices usually fall between $150 and $4,800. Your total will depend on many factors, including the type of window treatment, the amount and size of the windows, your home’s location, and the labor cost. Blinds and shutters tend to be the most affordable custom window treatments at $600 to $2,700, and the most expensive options are valances, drapes, curtains, and estate shutters, costing up to $3,000.
