"Lagunas Painting Company did a great job with the remodeling and painting in my home. Ivan was very punctual coming over to give me a bid and recommended the best quality paint. This company is licensed, bonded, insured and supported by Better Business Bureau. I am very pleased with the painting of my living room, entry way, kitchen and fireplace. Lagunas Painting transformed my ugly old yellow oak fireplace into a beautiful white modern stunning fireplace. Crew was very helpful, clean and worked hard not taking any breaks. Job was finished on time at a good price. I am delighted with the transformation of my home. The â Before and Afterâ are just like on TV at half the cost ."

"The team at Fence Doctor responded quickly to my request, and had a technician out within 2 days and the job completed same day. A section of our fence was knocked over during a wind storm, and they were able to re-use the undamaged materials to keep costs low, and the fence is better than it was before. They installed metal posts, replacing the wood that failed, which should last for a long time. Great people, great work!"

"Jeremy was fantastic. Extremely professional, knowledgeable. He installed our Schlage keyless door locks, hung our tv's and also hooks for coats in laundry room. He came prepared with all tools and everything he did was top notch perfect. We will ask Jeremy again for his services. I would recommend him to anyone as he has a wide range of experience for any home tasks or needs. Thanks again Jeremy!!!!! You were great."

Deck Cleaning questions, answered by experts

The least expensive way to build a pool deck is with concrete deck blocks, pressure-treated lumber, and the appropriate hardware for hanging joists and securing deck boards. With these basic yet durable deck materials, you'll have a pool deck that's built to last without the high price tag. You should also stain or seal the deck to protect it against the elements.

Many people say the best composite decking is Trex, TimberTech, or Fiberon. These brands have formulated composite deck boards to withstand the elements and hold up over time. Each offers a range of product lines varying in durability, price, and appearance. Compare their different composite decking offers for cost, looks, and features before deciding on a product.

Footings for ground-level decks need to be at least 12 inches deep, and some areas require them to be even deeper. A standard range for deck footings is anywhere from 12 to 48 inches. The minimum footing depth is determined by an area’s frost line and soil conditions. If you’re unsure how deep to install deck footings, check local building codes to find the minimum footing depth in your area.

Yes, designing builds to fit space constraints and meet functional needs.

You typically don’t need a railing and handrails on a deck that’s less than 30 inches from the ground. However, consider adding them regardless. Railings provide additional safety for you and your guests who use your deck—plus, railings give the deck a more finished look than it would have without them.
