"Getting a quote was easy and timely. The price was very fair. We paid by check with 1/2 down and completed check payment at completion of job. We contacted the end of April and the job completed a few weeks later. The 2 employees who showed up on time and were nice and great with communication to make sure they knew exactly what we wanted and expected. They were respectful of our and neighbor property. The 2 employees were joined by another couple of employees and the job was completed mid afternoon. They checked in about obstacles and questions to make sure we knew what would be done. We are very happy with the work. The above work type didn’t let me choose the exact job. Residence. They removed an 35 yr old rotten fence and built the new cedar fence with steel posts and a gates in a day."

We talked on the phone very briefly I said I needed my garage floor severely cleaned as it had years of dog poop and pee just stained into the garage floor no matter how much you cleaned it the smell stayed untill this guy came..... he looked into the garage and said yikes but it was no problem with him he said give him an hour or 2 max and boy lemme tell ya when I came back from running errands it literally looked like he chipped all the concrete out and poured a whole new slab I was shocked! I said bro what did you do hire masons to come repour? But nah he pressured washed it so good it looked brand new and the smell........ smelt like money in his pocket as I was extremely satisfied. would reccomend to anyone and I will be using him as my pressure washing contractor from now on!"

"John did an amazing job, he got back to me quickly and was super helpful. He built a fence for me and stained it, it came out beautiful. I am hoping to build a deck later in the year and I will definitely be calling John as soon as we are ready. Great job and great customer service."

Deck Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Composite decking might cost more upfront, but it delivers value in terms of durability. Unlike wood, composite material resists common deck problems such as rotting, fading, warping, and all the other things you don’t want a deck to do. The extra processes lead to a higher price tag, but you’ll save big in maintenance costs down the road.

The time to build a vinyl deck varies based on factors like size, the complexity of the design, and weather conditions. Generally, a straightforward project might take a few days to a couple of weeks for preparation, installation, and any necessary inspections. However, larger or more intricate designs may extend the timeline. Timely acquisition of permits, efficient planning, and coordination with contractors will all help to make the construction process as smooth and quick as possible.

Any wood deck provides some ventilation to the area below, as is the nature of that type of deck design. However, areas that experience excessive humidity and associated moisture benefit greatly from a dedicated ventilation system in the form of strip vents. This addition helps the various wood boards contract and expand evenly throughout the years and reduces the chances of twisting, warping, and buckling.

Spindles on a deck may also be called balusters or pickets. While not as important to the structural support of the deck as the rail posts, they play a critical role in ensuring the deck is safe to use by closing in large gaps in the railing. For this reason, balusters must be no more than 4 inches away from one another.

A deck that isn’t attached to a house is called a floating or freestanding deck. These standalone decks are built near ground level, so they usually don’t need deck stairs. Some don’t even require permits. Generally speaking, building a floating deck is faster and more DIY-friendly than constructing one that’s connected to your home.
