Have you ever wondered how to refinish your wood floors? No need to wonder, we'll do it for you at 1/2 the price of traditional sanding methods. It's faster, more convenient, and more affordable than fully sanding your floors. Plus, we can, usually, do it all in one day. Sounds too good to be true, right? It's not. We specialize in a sandless refinishing method where we can bring your floors back to life by buffing off the top layer of the floor, color correcting worn out looking areas that are missing stain, and putting down a commercial grade 2-component polyurethane to protect your floors for years to come. While this method cannot get rid of deep scratches or stains, or areas that had sun fading damage, our methods will make your floors look better and enhance the character of the overall look. Who doesn't love character in wood floors? I sure do! Don't have wood floors? No worries, we got you covered! We offer other services like low-pile commercial carpet cleaning; tile and grout cleaning & sealing; Laminate / LVT / LVP floor deep cleaning; Trex deck cleaning; deep sealed or unsealed concrete cleaning; garage floor cleaning, basement floor cleaning, wall steam cleaning, and all things cleaning. What can you expect from us? Integrity, honesty, transparency, and reliability. What can you expect from our services? Eco pet friendly products, innovative, convenient, and cost-effective solutions. Give us a call and we'll see if our services are right for your needs!

Floor Sanding questions, answered by experts

Sometimes, it’s best to avoid putting flooring under cabinets or installing the cabinets first. Installing cabinets on top of the flooring can void the flooring warranty. This can be a costly problem, especially if accidental flooring damage occurs during installation. Also, it’s not a good idea to install cabinets over floating floors, such as laminate, that need room to expand and contract. Finally, avoiding installing flooring under kitchen cabinets is a more budget-friendly option as you will use fewer materials.

There are a few different types of finishes to choose from for the final step of the project.

Water-based polyurethane sealants emit fewer odors and fumes but dry quickly, which can pose a challenge when trying to get a smooth coat. Oil-based polyurethane sealants let out more odors and fumes into the air (it’s especially important to wear a respirator if you choose this type), but they take longer to dry, which can be more forgiving during the finishing step.

Some may prefer wood oil to polyurethane because rather than creating a layer, it becomes part of the wood. Wood oil takes longer to dry, and is less resistant to wear and tear; however, it creates a natural-looking result by enhancing the grain of the wood.

Removing baseboards is not always necessary when removing carpet, but it can make the process smoother and yield better results. It allows for neater removal of the old carpet and better installation of the new one with a more professional-looking finish. However, if you're looking for a quicker and less invasive option, you can try carefully cutting the carpet near the baseboards and removing it. This approach might work if the baseboards are in good condition and you're not concerned about the quality of the installation.

Berber is the most expensive type of carpet, followed by textured carpet. Berber costs $3 to $20 per square foot, and textured carpet ranges from $1 to $12 per square foot. Berber features fibers arranged in short, thick loops, making it extraordinarily durable. The most expensive carpet material is wool, followed by acrylic, Triexta, and cotton. Wool costs $4 to $20 per square foot and is a beautiful, luxurious, and durable material. Acrylic, Triexta, and cotton range from $2 to $8 per square foot.

Carpet installers use furniture sliders or blankets to protect your furniture during the installation process. They handle each piece with care to minimize the risk of damage. Additionally, they may employ techniques such as lifting and shifting furniture rather than dragging it across the floor to prevent scratches or other marks. If you have particularly delicate or heavy items that need to be moved, discuss special handling with the installers beforehand.
