I hired A Plus to install engineered wood flooring in my basement and Shaw oak hardwood flooring throughout my home. The first part of the project went smoothly. Two of their regular installers did a great job installing Mirage engineered wood flooring in the basement/family room. Unfortunately, I was informed the day before installation of the hardwood flooring, that a “different team” would be used. This different team turned out to be a subcontractor “Mario” and his crew. In all 5 of Mario’s workmen showed up at my house and were allowed to install the hardwood flooring largely unsupervised. There are significant issues with the quality of the installation. Most notably gaps were left between the stair rail and flooring and there are numerous gaps between the planks throughout the house. In addition, steps installed by this subcontractor are creaking and crackling due to movement of the wood and several stair noses are not level. After initially agreeing to reinstall some of the flooring, Eric Rome (owner/operator of A Plus) apparently decided to have his subcontractor apply wood putty in the middle of my floors to fill in the numerous gaps. Wood putty was also used to fill the gaps between the flooring and stair rail. I will now have to pay another contractor to fix the mess left by Mario’s guys. I hold A Plus fully responsible for this fiasco.

We had a great experience with A Plus Carpet. Mr. Winter in the Sales Dept was always polite, responsive and effective. He did a great job identifying our needs and working within our budget without trying to over-sell or sell us an inferior product. On the day of the work, the installation team did an excellent job and the inevitable seams were minimally visible and carpet was tucked in well everywhere I looked. I would definitely call upon A Plus for other work in the future, and I recommend them highly. Best of all, the owner Mr. Rome, is local and from the area. His employees appear to be committed to ensuring customer satisfaction and quality work, and I think is is a great recipe for referrals and repeat business!

The A Plus sales rep was very helpful in helping select the proper carpet material for the application. The sales rep that provided the quote did a very thorough job anticipating the cuts required to complete the installation. The installation team arrived on the agreed upon day at the agreed upon time. The installation team worked very hard tearing out the old carpet and thresholds. They then did an excellent job cutting and stretching the new carpet. I was very pleased with the finished product. I would say that A plus prices are competitive, but not necessarily the lowest. The extra money provides insurance that the company will provide high quality goods, high quality workmanship and will stand behind their work.

A Plus performed the job when promised. They did a good job except adhesive was tracked all over the flooring. It was very difficult to removing. After several calls they sent a service man out to remover to our satisfaction.

My most important considerations were access to high quality product and the vendor's ability to support a non-negotiable installation schedule (national movers were slated to arrive on 9/6 with furniture for that room). A Plus easily accommodated these (even though the carpet wasn't originally on-site). It was great that this was a 'local' vendor (based in Columbia). My sales rep, Gene, knowledgeably advised on quality and helpfully sent me home with a returnable sample that I could study on the floor. (This was particularly important as my prior color was no longer available.) Gene arrived within two days to measure the space and place the order. (I saved 1 percent by paying in-full on the day I signed the contract). The installation crew arrived 90 minutes earlier than expected (though, to be fair, I missed the call during which they tried to notify me). Removal of the old carpet and installation of the replacement required about three hours. While installers had to move two large pieces of furniture, for the most part, the bedroom and closet were empty. Never having done this before, I was surprised how noisy the process was. These folks did a good job. I intend to hire again with a similar installation for two other bedrooms, a staircase and hallway after these have been professionally painted.

The two guys showed up early which was fantastic because i had taken off work to be home waiting for them. Nice as could be, they moved all furniture and belongings to do the work in the rooms. Completed the work quickly and then proceeded to put all the furniture and belongings back into place...Including a closet full of toddler toys! Many other companies wanted to charge me extra to move the furniture. This was a huge help to me! When finishing up they vacuumed the entire space plus some before leaving.

Excellent work! Jonathan Greeson was our sales rep in the store and he visited the house for measurements. Very professional and helpful. We decided on the top-of-the-line Mohawk carpet and pad. A date was scheduled and we received a confirmation call the day before. Workers arrived and were friendly, efficient, clean and their work was properly done. Furniture was moved without problems, and floor squeaking was fixed by adding numerous screws through the plywood to joists. Absolutely no hassles. We would highly recommend A Plus Carpet for your flooring needs!

Really well. The work began on time and the team stuck to the schedule. They even worked on a Sunday! There were a few tweaks to the floor which were handled beautifully. The result is stunning hardwood floors in 6 rooms. The sub floor is level and solid.

He showed up a bit late and didn't have my phone number. He told me that a carpet strip was installed incorrectly because the previous installer used glue to secure tack strip. He ended up using glue also so don't know whether it was done properly but it looked good when he was finished. Overall the work was done to my satisfaction. I would recommend him to others needing carpet repaired.

It was fantastic experience. Everyone in the company was extremely professional. It was a fair price. The installation was absolutely top notch. No high-pressure sales tactics. No hidden costs. Refreshing honesty and a sincere desire to help and do a fantastic job. I did a lot of research, and they are clearly the best I found. If I ever need more flooring, they will be my first and only call.

The entire experience was great, other than a slight delay in the promised delivery date of the tile. Everything else went very well, and the tile was delivered promptly at the revised date, Workers were very professional, and completed the job quickly. The took care to keep the area outside the bathroom clean, took all of their trash, and were very accommodating with a request we had for some additional finish work around the threshold. Would definitely consider this company again.

I wish I could give this company more than 5 stars. I am a picky consumer (somewhat hard to please) and yet was overwhelmed by the excellent customer service and professionalism of this company. We needed the carpets cleaned and repaired in a hurry as a job relocation caused us to put the house on the market very quickly. Eric Rome arranged everything for us. Even when an unseen event happened (apparently stained padding caused a new stain to pop up on the carpet after cleaning) . Eric had a crew out the very next day to fix the issue for us before the photographer got here. And they didn't even own the problem but the came and took care of us right away. AND the carpets look new. Even the repair they did for us on the Berber. You cannot see the seam. Great service, very good price and honest. Can't ask for more.
