"[Member Name Removed], Glad you are loving your floors! Call us for any future needs! Carol S."
We are not happy. We put a down payment of half of it and we have not paid the last because the man we have to deal with is on vacation so I am waiting to talk to him. I am not too sure about what he is going to say about it all. To get a better grade from me the could have explained to me that the kind of floor would have extreme variations in the color. I showed them exactly the color I wanted the floor to be and there blond wood in here and kind of a gray wood as well as a variety of browns. The brown would have been fine, but I had no clue there would be blonde pieces of wood in here. They did not listen to me on what I wanted done. I don't know if we would call that a communication problem or not.

"Hi [Removed member name], Thank you for leaving us a positive review. We appreciate your business and we are happy to hear that the floors turned out great! Thank you, Mary"
The job went really well. The guys doing the floor were friendly, professional and really helpful when picking out the color of stain we wanted for the floor. They were patient with me even though I must have had him try 8 different colors on the floor before we decided to just go with the original color. I can't say enough about how refreshing it was to have friendly workers, who took the time.
Everyone was nice, from the estimator to the installers and finishers. The installers did a good job, stain went fine and first coat of polyurethane looked good. In between first and second/last coat of poly something went wrong. What looks like sawdust is polyurethaned onto the floor everywhere. By everywhere I mean I don't think there is a 6 square inch area that doesn't have some of this stuff, and there's about 2000 square feet of floor. The original estimator came back and explained that after the first coat of poly the floor is buffed, and that creates the small particles that look like sawdust to me. He didn't really explain why that wasn't vacuumed/cleaned up before they did the final coat of poly and didn't really apologize for it being that way. He just said it was better than he feared and left.
If you just walk in our house and glance at the floors, they look good. If you look very close, you will see these minor imperfections. The Angie's list form asked if I would use this provider in the future and only gave a yes or no. I would've chose maybe if it was an option. On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being completely satisfied, I would say we are a 7. We didn't ask for them to be redone because we didn't have the time before we moved in and they are good enough, but for 10 grand we expected to be completely satisfied.
If you want to see the floors you can email me at [email protected] and after an informal background check I'd be willing to show them to you.
It was exceptional! They arrived when they said they would. Had a small crew to do the carpet removal, etc. They kept us informed as it went along about the timeframe before we would be able to have our rooms back. We staged the living room and hallway first, so we had all of the furniture in the dining room and kitchen. Then when living room and hall were completed, we waited a week and then moved everything out of the dining room into the living room. The young men who laid the floor was very professional and kind.
When it was all done, my husband put in the stairs/treads. We wanted to be sure the stain on the stairs matched, and they were very willing to ensure that the stain we got was exactly the same.
The floors are absolutely beautiful and we have only positive comments and compliments. Also many wanting to know who did them, as they were considering hardwood as well.
Absolutely, I would use them again for flooring needs.
"[member name removed] contracted work with our company in November of 2012. We installed a 2 ¼” & 3 ¼” prefinished oak wood floor purchased by the homeowner from a different supplier than ourselves. Unfortunately, the 3 ¼” prefinished product would not allow for a tight installation due to the milling of the wood, which caused gapping in the floor. We have also had similar instances of this happening from the same supplier where the [member name removed] purchased the wood flooring from. Our main installer on the job has over 10 years of experience installing various woods and is knowledgeable at installing secure and snug wood floors. The 2 ¼” width product provided was able to be installed snug but the 3 ¼” width product was not. Attempts were also made to fill between the gaps after the wood floor was installed to minimize the appearance of the gapping. We apologize the product did not meet [member name removed] expectations but we feel our installation service was the best possible in regards to the product provided."
