On time every day. Patient, helpful, and all three tag team crews were courteous and fast. Cleaned up basically all, though the sanding left a dust coating on things that we had to clean. Drew was extremely knowledgeable and Ellen kept us informed every step of the way. Overall terrific results.

It went well. Prompt. Worked quickly. Cleaned up most of mess. A few marks - nothing major - were made on newly painted walls that will need to be touched up.

Needless to say, it DID NOT GO WELL. We hired Tom Manley Floors because they are one of the top-rated refinishers in Omaha. We received quite a few bids, and Tom Manley Floors was one of the higher bids, but we were okay with paying more money for better quality. The initial meetings went well, but the overall product if FAR from the quality we expected. The project started a day later than it was supposed to, and the foreman did notify us nor could he tell us why; therefore, our date to move back into our home was pushed back a day. This would have been nice to know as we had to completely move out of our house and had to make further arrangements. The crew had to come back multiple times to correct issues and fix errors. There is HAIR and DUST underneath our polyurethane which is very upsetting (and needless to say GROSS). The crew damaged our brand new drywall that was installed just days before they came to start on our floors. Tom, the owner, came by to do a final walk-through, and during his visit, I pointed out the damaged walls and damaged window sill that his crew dented with the sanding machine. He hardly seemed concerned, didn't apologize for the damage, and said, "My guys can walk by that 20 times and not even notice it." I was appalled and still am at the lack of professionalism and customer service. There are many places where stain was splashed on the walls which I pointed out to Tom and commented that I was disappointed with his crews' lack of attention to detail, and he said, "Oh, I can see a lot of attention to detail in your paint job" while he laughed. I, as a customer, should not have to clean-up after his crew. In addition to getting stain on the walls, the crew also got stain and poly on the grout and tile in front of our fireplace. I had to bring it to the foreman's attention in which he sent out a guy to clean it. It was not cleaned that well and is not what it looked like before Tom Manley's crew arrived in our home. The first day of the project, we stopped by the house to see what work had been done. When we arrived, the storm door was open and the entry door was UNLOCKED! The crew also damaged a piece of baseboard during the process, so they came by one day to replace the piece. I was at work and got a call from the crew asking where they key was (we kept a key hidden outside of the house so the crew could come and go as needed). Well, they didn't tell me they were coming by that day, so I brought the key inside. The guy was upset that the key wasn't there for him. I am not going to leave the key out unless it needs to be out, and if they had called to let me know they were coming by that day, I would have left it for them. During Tom's initial visit, we told him we wanted the stairs and risers refinished. He told us his risers were painted white in which we told him that was not what we wanted. The stairs were refinished and when I noticed the risers had not been sanded or touched, yet, I called. They told me they don't usually sand risers, but attach a board on top of the original riser. If we wanted to have them sanded, they would do for an additional charge (and a hefty one at that). Tom did not tell us there would be an additional charge nor did he mention they place a board on top of the risers. We wanted oil-based poly, but they said they had a water-based poly that was just as good. I believe they told us this because the dry time is quicker. We followed the guidelines they gave us (e.g. not to put down area rugs for three weeks), but started to see scratches very soon after the project was completed. We received two invoices in the mail which were EXTREMELY difficult to read and did not make sense. The bill did not match the amount the foreman told us the total would be when he was there just days before. I can say that I am happy with the installation of new hardwood floors in the kitchen and where the new wood was feathered into the old wood. I am also pleased with the color of the floors, and the foreman was kind enough to be open to communicating and did leave me a can of stain for a future project. Overall, I cannot express how DISAPPOINTED I am in the overall experience with Tom Manley Floors. I know WE DID NOT RECEIVE THE QUALITY OF FINISHED PRODUCT TOM WOULD PUT IN HIS OWN HOME.

They were very easy to work with and the floors look AMAZING!  We've already scheduled them to come out and do another job for us because we liked them so much.

It went very well. The initial bid was given promptly. We paid 1/2 down before work was started and the balance on completion. Any possible delays were explained. Total time was 5 days from start to finish. All the workmen were very easy to work with, knowledgeable and friendly. They told us what to anticipate and how long it might take to dry. They instructed us in proper care of our new floors, along with placing felt pads on our furniture items and gave recommendations about timeframes to wait before gradually returning furniture. We would highly recommend this company to others.

The installation ended up being a good experience overall. Initially there was a problem with some of the boards that were installed. After some negotiation, Tom Manley made some compensation to us for the problem. Besides there being a problem with flaws in 12-18 boards, the installers did a good job. The cuts were well made and there was good balance in the shading of boards.

We had gone out for three bids from local contractors. Tom Manley Floors, Inc. was the lowest bid and it actually included more in the scope of work. After notice to proceed was given, we set up a date. Tom explained to us in detail each phase of the installation. His crews were very punctual, professional, curteous, and no nonsense when it came to the work. What struck us most was that TMF was sensitive to the fact we still had to live in the house after they had gone home for the day. They took special care to make sure the work area was clean and their supplies were neatly stored out of the way. Everything finished right on time and the craftsmanship of the flooring is second to none. We are 110% pleased with the finished product. Without hesitation, we would recommend them.
