Since starting out over 90 years ago as a small, family-owned Hilo lumber mill, HPM Building Supply—now 100-percent employee-owned—has grown to include three full-service building supply centers and four lumber yards on the Big Island. The company manufactures pre-engineered trusses and wall-panels, metal roofing and pre-hung doors, and treats its own lumber. Three signs that you need crawl space insulation are drafts, high energy bills, and mold. Drafts can start in crawl spaces and cause hot or cold air to spread to the rest of your home through holes in the floors and walls. And even if your entire home is well-insulated, you can still feel an unchecked draft from your crawl space and in your utility bill.
