"I never contacted the provider or used this service in anyway. I have to
write this review so that the request to write this review stops
popping up.
The rating is bogus as it is required to be able to submit.

"Once I sent her all the measurements, it took her a little while to get the options back to me.  Overall, they're good designs.  However, they're very simplistic and give general ideas for space planning.  I was hoping to have a better idea for sizes of furniture for the space and some variations on staging.
Jill was very responsive when I did have a question.  I'm not sure how helpful it is to have a virtual design done.  If we lived in similar cities, I'd probably use her again for help with additional designs.

"BJ and his crew from Mid Pac Services did a fantastic job over a period of 6 months. In addition to all the actual work they were also extremely helpful and professional in providing support and advice when it came to choosing vendors and providers and were there to receive the material and appliances if we were not able to receive. All the crew members were professional, punctual and very friendly; it was a pleasure to deal with BJ and all the crew members!"

Small jobs welcome

"We had around 450 sq ft of deck and railing, as well as some major supporting structures in need of repair. Christian and his crew, Joshua and Stan, secured the railing, repaired the old deck and replaced deck posts, supporting beam and joists. We are very impressed with the quality of workmanship and the attention to detail.. Throughout the project, Christian was always available for discussion and feedback. Christian started and ended the project as proposed. We feel very safe and secure walking around the deck and we will call Christian again for our next home improvement project."

"5 stars is all the truth. Good work. Appreciated everything they did. We had termite damage and exterior walls were replaced. They remodeled our bathrooms and painted the whole house, replaced carpet with hard wood flooring and repaired drywall, replaced the roof and added gutters. We have a whole new house."

Unfinished Carpentry questions, answered by experts

Costs depend on furniture type, size, complexity, and whether additional modifications are needed.

Baseboards don’t have to be nailed into studs. However, nailing them into studs adds to their stability. When studs aren’t available, you can secure them with drywall nails directly into the drywall and adhesive. Always aim to nail into studs, especially in high-traffic or impact-prone areas.

When building a house, it is customary to use 16d nails that measure 3 1/2 inches in length to construct the frame. These nails are crucial in providing the necessary support and stability for structural elements like joists and studs, which ensures a sturdy framework.

Most Cape Cod houses are two stories tall at the peak, although they’re considered one-and-a-half stories tall because the steep roof pitch cuts off a portion of the living space on the second story. Unless you raise the roof on your Cape Cod house to add a dormer, the interior rooms upstairs will lose some usable living space to the sloped ceilings.

There are a variety of second-story deck privacy ideas depending on your budget and aesthetic. For starters, you might consider fencing or tall privacy railing that masks a good portion of the open deck. A pergola or an awning can provide additional cover and shade. Outdoor curtains are an easy way to add or remove privacy at your convenience, plus they’re a wallet-friendly way to decorate your deck.
