"I want to thank you for the quality workmenship and the speed in which the work was completed. Very well done. One problem, the installer said there was a problem with the thermostat control not being able to turn on the heater. He said it could be a factory defect and would be replace the next time they came to Hinesville. I was wondering when this will happen ? Clifford"

"I advertised my interest in a painter through facebook from a group called  golden isle sidewalk sale. I am a stay at home mom and wanted a female preferably since my husband would be at work. She was very quick with my response. She came out and gave me a great estimate and we were able to start the next week! I prepped my sons room for her to paint. since we couldn't move his crib, twin bed, dresser & changing table  she covered them so they would not be damaged. She was VERY neatly organized. She started promptly at 9am and finished around 1:30pm (took at lunch) she painting 2 coats of red paint! She even corrected my mistakes on the ceiling last time i painted. She cleaned up and left no mess for me to clean, even swept around the walls where she painted.  We also are having them come back to install my sons chair railing. Money well spent at an affordable price!"

"Getting our new house painted was the first step into making it our home. Luke was very quick to respond when we reached out. We had a couple delays on our end and he was very accommodating. He got the work done in a timely manner. He takes directions very well, he’s professional, clean and on time. He made sure we were satisfied with everything throughout the process. I couldn’t be happier with the work that was done!"

Nest Installation questions, answered by experts

Roaches have a strong sense of smell and are repelled by a variety of potent aromas. Scents that can help deter them include citrus (such as lemon and orange), herbs like peppermint, mint, basil, thyme, and oregano, spices like bay leaves, cinnamon, clove, and garlic, as well as lavender, eucalyptus, citronella, tea tree oil, and vinegar.

You can use these scents in several ways to create an unwelcoming environment for roaches:

  • Plants: Place mint or lavender plants in your home or garden.

  • Powders and Leaves: Sprinkle garlic powder or place crushed bay leaves and citrus peels in high-risk areas like kitchens, bathrooms, and entry points.

  • Sprays: Create a diluted solution with scents like lemon or vinegar to spray in your home. These can also be used in cleaning products or as room fresheners.

  • Essential Oils: While essential oils of these scents can be used, be cautious as they can be toxic to pets if inhaled.

It is important to note that while these smells can help keep roaches away, they typically do not kill them and may not be enough to drive out an existing infestation entirely. For best results, combine these scent-based deterrents with regular cleaning. Be sure to clean up all food spills, crumbs, and dirty dishes promptly, and keep trash cans covered with a tight-fitting lid to remove potential food sources.

You will need to discuss with your pest control expert to know when and what to clean after the treatment. Sometimes, you may have to wait a couple of weeks for deep cleaning to avoid wiping up the treatment they applied.

However, you’ll want to wipe down any surfaces you use for food prep and eating. Before the treatment, you’ll also want to make sure that items such as pet dishes and children's toys won’t be exposed to the chemicals.

Cold winter months won’t always kill off fleas completely. Your home is typically warm enough for fleas to survive or, at least, for the eggs to lay dormant, ready to hatch when warmer weather arrives. Plus, waiting for the winter isn’t a good idea. The infestation will continue to grow, and fleas carry pathogens that can harm humans and pets.

The best way to deal with a rodent problem is to avoid it in the first place. One way to do that is to make your home smell uninviting to them. Here are some household products that can repel rodents. When using oils, try soaking a cotton ball in the stuff and leaving it in places rodents frequent:

  • Peppermint oil

  • Eucalyptus oil

  • Cinnamon

  • Vinegar

  • Cedarwood

  • Cloves

  • Garlic

  • Chili oil/powder

  • Cayenne pepper

No, mothballs do not keep bats away. Not only are mothballs completely ineffective when repelling or removing bats, but using them could be illegal, depending on where you live. Remember, bats are federally protected, and it's illegal to use chemicals during the removal process, and mothballs tend to fall into this category.
