"Lesson learned. Always get an estimate. BEFORE the work is done. At least a digital copy. Arrangements for the project were made, with some one named Lynn, for the company to send someone to complete the work. We were quoted over the phone 4500-5000 which included a mold test. A sub contractor with an entirely different company (National Mold Company) was sent. When the contractor arrived, he stated that the job would be much more simpler than first thought. This led us to believe that the job would cost less, no. All said and done, they charged $5500. All said and done, it's almost like no work was done. The stains and the smell are still there. Only one actual board was taken upon the attic room. The ceiling in the bedroom was primed and painted but are still visible and have a funky smell. At this point I'm going to. Do what we should have done; Do the job ourselves. Just now with $5500 less dollars in our pockets. A detailed receipt was not given even though it was requested."

The three essentials: (1) Effective communication throughout planning and execution. Dennis & Jean listen—with deep attention and comprehension. They have a calling to improve the lives of others by improving the functionality and beauty of the homes they wake up to and live in every day. Their respect for, attention to, and comprehension of our functional needs and aesthetic preferences have been profound. And this has persisted throughout planning and execution; they have initiated more contacts with us than we have with them—to inform us about what’s next, coordinate the activities of tradesmen with our lives, and ask more detailed questions about choices of equipment, supplies, etc., as each phase proceeds. (2) Expert, hard-working, trustworthy tradesmen and connections to suppliers. This is something that is absolutely essential to the experience of undergoing a remodel. Can you trust the expert skills of the tradesmen your contractor assembles and whose activities they coordinate? Are you comfortable with their presence in your home? Do they consistently deliver value while onsite? We have shared our home with the tradesmen enlisted by Dennis & Jean for several months, throughout phases 1, 2, and 3. We look forward to their arrival in our home, admire their skill, hard work, and dedication to doing things right, and are completely comfortable with having them in our home. Dennis & Jean also have longstanding relationships with many sources and suppliers, greatly streamlining the process of finding and selecting the right paint, flooring, equipment, etc. (3) Reasonable prices yielding exceptional value, with careful and thorough accounting. Dennis & Jean are sensitive to price and value, exacting in presenting options and prices, and careful and thorough in their accounting. In sum, an A+ for Dennis & Jean and the entire PHI team/network!"

He went out of his way to avoid creating any holes in the ceiling other than those housing the lighting fixtures. And he also did a safety inspection of my home's fuse box.
