"I had a brand new heat pump system installed in April 2023. They sent subcontractors to install it who were very unprofessional and they left bare wires hanging out of the machine and it did not look like it was installed correctly. It stopped working completely 4 times in 5 months, the last time was on October 10, service tech said, “I really don’t agree with the way they installed it “ he said the wires were barely connected so it kept losing power. He got it working again and left. Two weeks ago it got cold and we turned the system to heat for the very first time. It blew cold air. We made ANOTHER service call. The technician said that a switch had “gone bad” because, “they wear out” we explained that we have never used the heat even once, so how could the switch be worn out. Then they advised they had to order a part. Over a week later the part came in and they returned and that still didn’t fix. Now they say the compressor has, “gone bad” and when we reiterated that we have never even used it so how is it worn out they answered, “they just go bad sometimes” we still don’t have heat, they say they have to order more parts. We asked them to look over the whole system because we don’t think it is installed right and I am genuinely concerned that it is a fire hazard and they looked at it, put electrical tape on some hanging wires and left. We have had to take SIX days off work so far and buy space heaters and we are no closer to having a working system. This unit is less then SIX MONTHS OLD. At this point I have no choice but to pursue legal action. This whole experience has been terrible and has cost me hundreds in missed time at work and I’m still paying for a system that does not work."

The other two roofing companies I never heard back. Braswell Construction contacted my insurance company and worked out all the details. He gave me a tentative date pending weather issues. He stayed in touch and called me with a firm date. He and his crew arrived when he said they would, got right to work. Found the problem right away, tore off the faulty parts, replaced with better materials and gave me a 3 year warranty. He took photos of the before during and after so I could see what they did. It has not rained much since installation, but I am confident that he has fixed the problem. Very nice young man with a great work ethic."

"Had given a deposit for the window and it was to be installed within 6 weeks. On the 6th week I called and they said yes the window was in , when did I want it. The installer came the next week. Though he did a good job of installing my window I had bought new plastic brick molding which he cut backwards and had to rig in , I had also bought new plastic window sill 6' long enough for 2 windows. when he left he took all my materials and lost my check . I know they have many installers working for them , in my case ,with one window , I think they sent a good old boy and not a professional . The window does it's job , has ? a lifetime warranty and probably no one but me and a builder would notice the Brick Molding is on the wrong sides of the window . As far as my extra materials I just chalked that up to price."
