"The work that they did looks good.  Ripped out many rotten boards, and replaced with new boards and worked around a gas line successfully. My only issues is that I asked to have all of the rotten boards ripped out and replaced, and when i inspected afterward, I found a lot of boards that had significant rot, including a built in bench.  I ended up ripping out a bunch of additional deck boards and the wooden bench, went to Home Depot, had the boards cut to the exact size of the ones took out, and screwed down the deck boards myself and re-built the bench.  I wanted to avoid doing the work myself, but got stuck half pregnant with a job that was started, and not finished the way I wanted when I started the project in the first place.  The price for the additional work (beyond the 6 hours for $199) was much more than I expected.  I also thought I was going to be paying for 4-8 extra hours, and even at a "25% discount to normal rate" spent almost an additional $1,000 on labor, and had to finish the job myself.  Perhaps I don't have a realistic idea of how much time was really needed for this job, but it was more than I was expecting and didn't complete the work I wanted done.

"The blower on the furnace stopped working.  The technician showed up on time, wore surgical booties over his shoes (to prevent tracking dirt into the house), and successfully diagnosed and replaced the bad capacitor.  I asked him why the unit was turning on and off frequently and after some further inspection he explained it was because there was not sufficient return air coming to the unit causing the furnace to over heat (due to low air flow), turns off, cools down, then turns back on again repeating the cycle.  He recommended a couple simple solutions that I could do myself (if I felt comfortable).  Nice guy - friendly, professional, knowledgable, and didn't try to gouge me for every penny.

"Our home had roofing damage due to improper rain drainage. Jonathan Browning gave an honest estimate on repairing the problem areas and also fixed some framing around the front door window. His team from Quality Works spent Thursday and Friday fixing the roof and even came back on Saturday to finish and clean up.
