"Fernando was absolutely great. He and his crew did a beautiful job prepping for and installing my vinyl floor, including shoe molding, very quickly and perfectly. Also, when I unexpectedly walked into my room to check things out, Fernando was fixing a door latch for me that had been improperly aligned by someone else in the past. How nice to find someone like this after having had work done here and there that wasn’t done very well. I wouldn’t call anyone else next time."

"Project was completed in a timely manner. Clean up was a task left for myself but since the quote was reasonable, this is not a complaint... Just need to know information. Would use again. Team was respectful and fast."

"Jesse has done several jobs for me ranging from putting tile in a foyer, two bedrooms painted and tiled, shower tear down and build, and tile in a kitchen backsplash. The work was performed in a timely fashion and for a far price."

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

Glass tile is one of the easiest materials to maintain. It is both stain and water-resistant, making it easy to clean and incredibly durable. This also makes it resistant to mold and mildew. However, make sure it’s kept clean, otherwise, your grout might start to degrade. Glass is liable to scratch, so ensure you’re using non-abrasive materials and products, like soft sponges and wipes.

Installing kitchen countertop tiles on a mold and moisture-resistant cement backer board is one of the best options. When fitted correctly on top of a plywood base, it’s stable and long-lasting. Old-fashioned cement board is economical, cuts neatly and easily with a circular or jigsaw, and screws into plywood without any difficulty.

Options include clay, concrete, and slate tiles. Each offers unique durability, aesthetics, and costs.

You can, in theory, tile your fireplace hearth with most tiles. However just because you can, doesn’t mean you should. For example, it’s much better to use unglazed tiles because glazed tiles are more resistant to cracking under extreme heat. Porcelain is more heat-resistant than ceramic, but you can still design the hearth as you like by putting the most heat-resistant tiles directly under the fire and, if it matches your style, add more decorative tiles further from the center of the fire.

The best types of tiles for a shower are ceramic and porcelain tiles. These materials are durable, water-resistant, and easy to maintain, making them ideal for wet environments. Porcelain tiles are slightly more durable than ceramic. Both options come in a wide variety of styles, so you can achieve the perfect look for your bathroom.
