"Donald Rogerson responded very quickly, analyzed the photos I sent him, knew exactly what to bring, and provided a very reasonable quote over the phone. He reassured me from the start, and took control of the situation with the utmost professionalism and clear communication. His work was impeccable, and he even insisted on cleaning up. I heartily recommend him, not only for water heater issues, but for any indoor plumbing need. He will certainly be my plumber from now on."

"I'd give The Plumbarius Company an A+ if I could. If you need anything plumbing, hire Edward from the Plumbarius Co. He was quick, professional, and very competent, My issue was actually not what I originally thought, but a much simpler, easier (and cheaper) fix. I very easily would have gone for the more expensive solution, but Edward diagnosed the issue and charged me accordingly, I was super impressed and will most definitely use him again in the future. You should too.

Plumbing FAQs, answered by experts

After finishing plumbing work, schedule a final inspection to close any open permits. This step prevents future issues when selling your home. For projects near the water meter, verify your account status with the county to ensure accurate billing. Because Lithonia experiences winter freezes, you should insulate all exposed exterior pipes. Finally, run your taps for several minutes to flush the system and ensure clean water.

Helpful?

The permit and inspection process dictates the timeline for major plumbing work. In GA, code requirements mandate staged inspections for rough-in and finish work, forcing multiple visits. Underground projects face delays from hard red clay soil, which complicates excavation. Additionally, discovering deteriorated cast iron or galvanized pipes in older homes expands the project scope, requiring a professional to return for further repairs.

Helpful?

Keep children and pets away from open trenches during yard excavation, as these pose serious fall hazards. Because Lithonia summers are hot, schedule any water shutoffs for the early morning to keep your family comfortable. For older homes, use bottled water until the system is fully flushed to avoid lead exposure. Always block access to taps during backflow testing to prevent contact with contaminated water.

Helpful?

Warm spots on your concrete floor point to a slab leak requiring plumbing repair, while cracked walls indicate structural issues. In Lithonia, humid summers cause HVAC condensate lines to clog, creating ceiling stains that look like pipe leaks. Standing yard water with a foul odor signals a broken sewer line rather than poor grading. A professional will perform a pressure test to pinpoint the exact issue.

Helpful?

Start by locating and testing your main water shutoff valve near the meter. You should hire a professional for a sewer scope inspection, as many older GA homes have aging clay or cast iron lines prone to root damage. Inspect the home for outdated polybutylene or galvanized pipes and replace them immediately. Finally, verify that your irrigation system has a functional, recently tested backflow prevention device.
