"J&R Home Solutions are the ones to call!! Fast service. Quick turn around time. And excellent customer service. I initially hired J&R Home Solutions for my yard care needs after noticing the great job on my neighbor's yard. After experiencing them for myself, I then found myself requesting a quote for a fence install. You won't go wrong choosing J&R Home Solutions!! Make that call!"

"Blake Pender and his crew do excellent work!!! Dmitry and Justin came to my house and installed a privacy fence and 3 gates in a day and half and were done. Plus they totally clean up everything to be spotless. I highly recommend them and their prices are very reasonable.😁"

"I am a perfectionist who would rather do things herself and know it's done to my exact specifications than to have someone else do it, but, being pregnant and trying to fix a fence at the same time do not mix. Yard Barber came in a saved the day. They were able to convey exactly what I wanted and needed all in a timely fashion. They were respectful of my property and neighbors, the clean up was wonderful. Their personalities and team work were great. May have to use them for other landscaping purposes."

Fencing questions, answered by experts

Ideally, when you replace a fence post, you should also replace the concrete footing. The concrete bonds to your new post, creating a secure base. If you install a new post into old concrete, it won’t be as sturdy.

That said, it is possible. Sometimes the post will lift right out of the concrete. If not, you can use a high-lift car jack to try and lift the pole out of the footing. Put the new post into the same hole and backfill it with fast-setting concrete. Keep in mind, this won’t work well for metal posts.

Armadillos are attracted to water, so a leaky irrigation system or an overwatered lawn can encourage them to move in. They especially like wet areas where they can burrow and loose soil where they can dig for grubs. They are also attracted to dense ground cover, where they can often find food sources.

Wood, vinyl, chain link, and aluminum are common materials. Choose based on durability, maintenance needs, and aesthetics.

Maintain your wattle fence by inspecting it at least twice per year for loose weaving and degrading branches. Replace any seriously degraded sections, ensure water drains properly around the posts, and trim any sprouting branches if you used green wood. If you notice the weave loosening, you can often tighten it by gently pushing down on the top branches. You can also apply a natural wood preservative every two to three years to extend the fence's lifespan.

In most cases, a fence can only be built on your property with your consent. Not obtaining permission constitutes an encroachment and a violation of your property rights. However, exceptions may apply, such as when the fence is entirely within the property boundaries of the person putting it up and the fence complies with local zoning laws and regulations. If you think a fence infringes on your property or is not up to local standards, consult with local authorities or legal experts to address the issue and protect your property rights.
