"Scott just finished a 3 large deck (approx 1100 SF total) tear down and rebuild for me. It looks great. His crew worked hard, very meticulous, and very aware of keeping the property clean and undamaged. Went beyond my expectations, not requiring any rework along with a competitive price. Started the project on time and never missed a beat. I would recommend this company for your projects."

"I am a perfectionist who would rather do things herself and know it's done to my exact specifications than to have someone else do it, but, being pregnant and trying to fix a fence at the same time do not mix. Yard Barber came in a saved the day. They were able to convey exactly what I wanted and needed all in a timely fashion. They were respectful of my property and neighbors, the clean up was wonderful. Their personalities and team work were great. May have to use them for other landscaping purposes."

Fencing questions, answered by experts

Professionals in Evans review your property survey and locate boundary markers before starting a fencing project. They measure and mark the proposed fence line, check for setback requirements, and identify any easements or utility lines. Soil and drainage are assessed, especially with local clay conditions. They also review HOA guidelines and ensure the fence design fits neighborhood standards while planning for proper water flow and landscaping.

Helpful?

In Evans, a single leaning post or a small gap at the base can signal shifting soil that may affect your entire fence. Water stains, rust spots, or early wood rot often mean moisture is spreading. Georgia’s humidity speeds up wood decay and metal corrosion, so even minor damage should be addressed quickly. Ivy growth or tree roots pressing on one section can soon impact neighboring panels.

Helpful?

During fencing projects in Evans, unexpected costs can arise from permit requirements, property surveys if boundaries are unclear, and HOA approvals. Site preparation may involve removing old fencing, clearing trees, or grading uneven ground. Clay soil can require extra work to stabilize posts, and underground roots or rocks may increase labor. Finishing touches like staining or sealing are sometimes billed separately from installation.

Helpful?

Before requesting fencing services in Evans, gather your property survey or plat map to confirm boundaries, and take clear photos of your yard, including any existing fence lines. Measure the area where you want new fencing, note visible utility markings, and observe soil and drainage conditions, especially after rain. If you belong to an HOA, have their rules ready, and document any neighbor discussions about shared boundaries.

Helpful?

In Evans, leaning fence posts, warped panels, or broken pickets usually mean fencing work is needed. If you see water pooling near posts or signs of soil erosion, address drainage or landscaping first. Tree roots pushing up fence sections may require tree care. For unclear property lines, a survey can help. Watch for shifting posts, especially in areas with clay soil.
