"In spite of numerous negative reviews about Move Quick, Inc., I opted to hire this company for my move from West Virginia to Los Angeles. I spoke to Phillip, the manager/owner, who convinced me that the posted complaints had been resolved and were exaggerations. However, I, too, was subjected to an exaggerated low bid in order to snag my business. I, too, experience problems with the pick up and the delivery dates. The movers were a day late in arriving, then quoted me a 67% increase in price, from $3,100 to $5,200. BUT I was stuck. The company already had my deposit money. Also, I was charged for one flight of stairs and an exaggerated inaccurate measurement of my front door to the truck. I had been told there was no fee for one flight. I had provided exact measurements for the items in my two rooms of furniture. True, I had 51 boxes instead of 40 but that did not warrant such an increase in price, 67% almost $2,000. Delivery was also problematic. I had told Move Quick, Inc. that I would be at my new home 25 days after the pick up, October 30, 2019. That should have been more than enough time for any truck to drive cross country. They made me wait until December 4, 2020, a total of 25 days to drive 2,400 miles. I made the drive solo in 5 days. Communication with the company once they have your money is near to impossible. It took threats and 6 days for Philip to respond. He then provided an insignificant $75 discount. My recommendation: go with a larger company than can provide an accurate estimate and deliver within a reasonable time. Also, use a company that uses the industry standard of moving cost based on the weight of your items. Don’t let Phillip tell you his method of charging based on volume is better. No one else does this, for a reason. Other estimates I had received were in the $3,700 range.I should have Booked Elsewhere!”"

"Our experience with this moving company was deeply disappointing and financially damaging. We hired them to handle a full-home move, and the result was over $10,000 in damages to our furniture, flooring, and the walls of two separate homes (the origin and destination properties). Several serious issues occurred during the move: Widespread Property Damage: Numerous furniture items were badly damaged, walls and flooring were gouged or scratched, and protective precautions were not adequately taken. Incomplete Move: The crew literally forgot to pack multiple rooms, leaving behind entire sections of our home. Unfulfilled Contract: We paid for full unpacking services, yet many boxes were left untouched, and large items remained unassembled or scattered. Unethical Payment Practices: Midway through the move, the company’s manager demanded a photo of a check as proof of payment and refused to continue until we complied. At that point, their workers were effectively holding our belongings hostage, which felt coercive and highly unprofessional. We paid almost $5K and what we received was a disorganized, damaging, and highly stressful experience. Attempts to resolve the situation directly with management have so far yielded no meaningful resolution. I strongly urge others to proceed with extreme caution before hiring this company."
