"Would not recommend Mr. Electric; they will try to scam and overcharge you. My girlfriend called them for a fried breaker and the technician tried to upsell and convince us to replace the ENTIRE electrical panel and additional unnecessary fixes for over $14,000. We called a different company for a second opinion and they assured us that the panel did not need a complete replacement to get things up and running, and only recommended a few replacements for safety measures. We were able to get the initial situation fixed the same day through the second company, all covered under the other companies ‘free second opinion promotion’ they were running. The thing is, we would have been willing to get some of the recommended safety work done, and still plan on doing it with a different company, but the Mr.Electric tech representative was pushy and dishonest, and tried to get us to finance a way more expensive fix than needed. I don’t frequently leave reviews, and I know it’s nearly impossible these days to find a company that isn’t trying to upsell or push you into something, but this is one company that should be avoided at all costs."

I had had Foster Electric some out initially to give me an estimate for installation of ceiling lights in our living room and kitchen as we had no real lighting except for lamps, and that was not great. I had been thinking recessed-type ceiling lights, and had them choose the lights. Scott and Stephen arrived as scheduled and put in some 6 inch LED lights that are technically recessed lights but look flush with the ceiling. They installed 11 lights in the living room and 4 lights in the kitchen, each with 900 lumen each, adjustable from 2700K to 5000K color temperature (soft white to daylight), I went with bright white 3500K and they are quite bright and I also had them placed on a dimmer so the intensity can be adjusted. They used an interesting dimmer switch which is invisible (I can't see it) and located adjacent to the on/off switch. I'm very pleased with the results and it took less than one day to install. I have used Foster Electric before several times and always had great results and is why I used them again. I plan already on using them again in the near future. I highly recommend them."

"AC quit. Referred to Larry's by neighbor's plumber. Had received a quote from another company for $9300 AC replacement following their inspection. Other company's tech said there was leak and freon could not be replaced anymore. No longer available. Within an hour, Larry's sent Jerome who did a very thorough inspection, was here well over an hour, put in 1.5lb freon, replaced another part...I can't recall what...and AC blows cold again. He said it looked like system had frozen probably from low freon level, and there possibly is a leak somewhere, maybe only microleak that would require recharging every year or so. He advised that we monitor and call if necessary to investigate further. He advised that we nurse this one as long as possible because new units are not made like the old ones... thinner metal, less quality control, and all the usual things associated with modern appliances. Cost was $250+/- for inspection, part, labor and freon. Will definitely call again when needed."
