Horrible!!! Too many excuses for sloppy scheduling, product was not installed properly (caused a repair visit), damage was done to surrounding structures during the installation.

Installation was quoted to take approximately 2-3 weeks to complete....it was finished in 4 months. The delays included poor scheduling, incorrect ordering/shipping of hardware, and general carefree attitude of the company, and it's owner Nancy Card. This process caused me to miss 8-10 hours of work (which adds cost to the job with lost income), and undue stress to meet a timeline for the installation. I would seriously think twice before selecting this company, as the headaches out-weigh the result.

We purchased $6100.00 of window coverings for several rooms in our house.  Installation was excellent until we requested a change to the original installation.  We found that the wood shutters we selected for our bedroom blocked egress from the window so we asked that both be moved to different bedroom,  This was to be at our cost.  When we did not choose one of their window products to replace the shutters, we were subsequently ignored.   While we managed to get two separate appointments scheduled to relocate the shutters, no one showed up either time nor did they call to let us know the appointment was cancelled.  In both cases we had to call their office to ask if the installer was going to show up or what?  Both times we were given the excuse that the supplies they needed did not arrive so they had to cancel.  It has now been two months "waiting for supplies", so we have elected to find a different company to do the work.
We have more windows needing covering but we will certainly go to some other window shop for that work.

Although the center window was measured incorrectly, they installed the oversized shutter while the correct size was re-ordered.  We are awaiting the delivery and installation of the replacement shutter and have no been asked for nor paid the final 50% of the total price. Their installer pointed out the problem as the difference was slight we might not have noticed the issue.

Having purchased blinds from the company six years ago, I visited the Blind Lady showroom and spoke with the owner, Nancy Card.  I told her the blinds I have keep getting caught on the Pella window handles and I was looking for a blind that would work with my Pella windows. She showed me the Hunter Douglas silhouette blind. When I repeated my concern about getting caught on the handle, she recommended a butterfly handle as a replacement for the standard Pella window handles.  I wanted to purchase butterflies on the spot - for the four windows that already have blinds and for the three windows that I was shopping for!
Based on Nancy Card's recommendation and promise that the salesman would bring samples of the butterfly handles when he came to my house, I made an appointment.  The salesman was prompt, polite and professional. However, he did not bring the samples with him.  Based on his promise that the installer would bring the samples, I ordered and paid one-half of the cost of the silhouette blinds.
Seven weeks later (a bit of a wait - longer than promised - but that's not a major concern at this point), the installer arrived without the samples.  I told him - he actually knew - I had been promised the opportunity to see and order the butterfly handles.  I made the mistake of letting him install the blinds. I should have waited.  But with the knowledge and understanding of the installer, I had him install and held back on $250 of the final $1700 I owed on the blinds.  I was thinking that would get Nancy Card's attention.
It did get her attention in a most alarming way.  Nancy Card called and accosted me over the phone, telling me she was turning my account over to a collections agent since I did not pay it in full upon installation of the blinds. I told her I expected to see the samples and have an opportunity to order replacement handles, a recommendation she made and upon which I based my decision to purchase the blinds.  Actually, I said that but I doubt Nancy Card heard it because she kept speaking over me.  She is neither a lady nor an owner who wants to work with her customers.

They did a good job. I liked her work. They did what they said they would do in the time frame they promised. I had one little problem and they came back out and repaired it. I had no qualms with anything. I am unsure if the price is fair as I have never had any other work like this before.

It started with a free in home estimate. Other companies required a non refundable fee (applied to job if contracted). The sales person (co-owner?), Gerry (pronounced Gary), was courteous and informative. The price beat the competition. The work was performed on time, as scheduled. There were a couple problems: 1. The pull cord for one of the drapes was on the wrong side. 2. The extension pole for opening/closing the overhead shades was too short. Gerry admitted the fault without excuse and rectified the problems: 1. He offered a choice between retrieving the shade and sending it out for repair, or a discount on the price of the job. 2. A larger extension pole was shipped immediately (arrived within 1.5 weeks). Notable was that the 1st problem was discovered after the installation was complete and final payment had been made. Still, Gerry stood by his promise to "make things right" and did so without hassle.
