"Jeremy was great. I put in a request near midnight, and he responded right away. He was on time, friendly, and quickly got the chipmunk out of my house. His price was also the lowest of all the quotes I received. I highly recommend him and will absolutely call him again if needed."

"I contacted Total Animal Control, LLC because I knew a squirrel was in the attic. Tech thoroughly checked the attic to evaluate situation and confirmed the presence of a squirrel. A trap was set the same day. Tech came out the next day to check the trap and the squirrel was in it. Thankful for Total Animal Control for transparency and not giving me a laundry list of items I needed to do. I recommend and would use them again."

"Calvin and his team are AMAZING and I could not recommend them more. If you have rodent issues and want your problem resolved, look no further! Calvin is extremely responsive, thorough, courteous, and truly cares. For example, I first reached out to Calvin on a Saturday afternoon and he was at my home just a few hours later. I also needed him to come to my house on a Sunday night (after 10pm) for an emergency and he was there in no time! Due to the extent of my rat issues, I had to have the insulation removed from my attic and new insulation installed (as well as the entry points throughout my home and attic sealed, plus some other work done such as cutting trees back, etc.). Calvin's team worked quickly and Calvin sent me pictures of their progress throughout the job. I came home to a spotless home each evening as Calvin and his team always made sure to clean up after themselves (in fact, they always left my home cleaner than they found it). Calvin's team also fixed a screen door for me and sealed cracks in my ceiling despite these projects being outside the scope of the job. The rats are now gone from my home thanks to Calvin and I can enjoy living in my home again. Thank you Calvin and team!"

"It went extremely well. The representative was very knowledgeable about the issue (rats getting into crawlspace) and took the time to inspect both the exterior *and interior* of both our crawlspace and attic and design a solution. They also followed up quickly to seal our crawlspace and set up a schedule to come check the traps.

Bird Control questions, answered by experts

Certain strong smells may help repel bats, though this is not a foolproof method and is best used in conjunction with other deterrence strategies. Scents like peppermint oil, eucalyptus, cinnamon, cloves, and mint are often suggested as natural remedies. To create a spray, you can mix two cups of warm water with half a cup of sugar and a few drops of your preferred essential oil. Apply this mixture using a spray bottle to possible entry points and throughout the affected area, such as an attic. While this home remedy is popular, evidence supporting its effectiveness is limited.

Trees that provide a habitat to bats and an abundance of bugs—their main food source—will attract bats to your yard. Because the North American landscape has changed so much in recent years, bats have a harder time finding trees with cavities to shelter in. If your yard has a dead or dying tree with a lot of sun exposure, bats will likely be drawn to it because trees with those features are less common.

Cockroaches, ants, flies, bed bugs, and termites are common in business environments.

To keep animals out, you must prevent them from entering. As long as they can get in, the problem will persist. That said, consider making your attic less inviting using deterrents like motion-activated lights or ultrasonic devices. Additionally, keeping a well-maintained, clean, and uncluttered attic that you regularly inspect for activity may make the space less attractive to critters.

Once the animals and their young are out of the house, remove the nest and locate any entry points. Some may be difficult to find because some animals can fit through very small holes. Once you’ve located as many entry points as possible, use materials such as metal or masonry to block off the entry. Ideally, you should choose materials that most animals cannot chew through. Create a one-way door or flap to allow animals to leave but not return. Additional methods include using repellants designed to make an area unappealing to the types of animals that find your home so inviting.
