"They saved the day fixing our water heater while on vacation. We appreciated the fast response and the quality of the work performed. Our plumber really made sure we were up and running before leaving. We will be using Tony’s Plumbing again for any future issues that come up. Great Service Experience. Bart and Carol Birdyshaw"

"We were very pleased with the entire experience. Dwight responded promptly to my intial call and provided a very good estimate for the work. He even tweaked the estimate after I requested a minor change. We met with him once near his office to pick out granite from a remnant yard and pick out a new bathroom sink. We scheduled two days for the work, but we had to change that after I had my baby early. He had no problem rescheduling and did the work the next week -- I was very pleased that he could move his schedule around so quickly to accommodate us. Once he and his crew arrived to do the work, they were very professional and prompt, and respected the fact that we had a new baby in the house, along with a very excited dog. They performed the work exactly as promised and it all looks wonderful now. There was a slight drip under the sink after the crew left, and I notified Dwight about it that evening. The drip went away the next day (and has not returned), but Dwight still called a few days later to check on it, which I appreciated. All in all, we couldn't be more pleased with the result, and I would highly recommend them."

"We were selling our home and needed a second estimate to raise the front porch and fix existing cracks. Aquaguard sent a very knowledgeable representative and their price was just about the same as the first estimate we recieved. We ended up not having the work done ourselves but gave the estimated cost value to the home buyer. He was in turn going to get the work done himself. The Aquaguard rep was invaluable because he gave us several options and very good advice. I would highly recommend them when trying to decide who to use for a mudjacking job."

Affordable Plumbers questions, answered by experts

Pool leaks most commonly occur at joints or where different materials meet. The most frequent leak spots include:

  • The Pool Skimmer: Where the plastic skimmer meets the pool's liner or shell.

  • The Pool Liner: Tears can develop in vinyl liners, especially those between 5 and 20 years old. Leaks also occur around the liner's edge.

  • Fittings and Accessories: Areas around return lines, the main drain, and pool lights are common culprits.

  • Pool Equipment: The pump, filter, and filter housing can also leak.

While leaks in underground pipes are less common, they can be costly to fix. It's usually best to check the more common spots before investigating the plumbing system.

Many plumbers include removing and disposing of the old toilet as part of their service package. However, it’s best to ask before signing a contract, as removal isn’t guaranteed. If the plumber doesn’t take the old toilet, you have several options, including donation, recycling, junk removal, and bulk waste services..

There are many reasons why water pipes leak. The most common reasons include clogs, broken rubber seals that deteriorate over time, corrosion on copper, brass, or galvanized pipes, and damaged pipe joints.

You might also have a leak if your water pressure is too high (usually higher than 60 psi) or if your fixtures have a crack. Moreover, natural changes in the area around your underground pipes, like growing tree roots, flooding, or earthquakes, can cause leaky water pipes.

Yes, continuing to flush a clogged toilet is not likely to break up the clog. Instead, it will continue to put pressure on the clog while filling the bowl with more water, which can potentially cause the toilet to overflow—leading to an even bigger mess. Rather than repeatedly flushing, use a toilet plunger or plumber’s snake to dislodge the clog.

A sewage ejector pump is necessary if you have any plumbing fixtures, such as a bathroom, laundry room, or sink, located below the level of your home's main sewer line. Standard plumbing relies on gravity to drain wastewater and solid waste into the municipal sewer system or a septic tank. For fixtures below this level, like those in a basement, gravity cannot move the waste upward. The ejector pump provides the force needed to pump the sewage up to the main line. Without one, wastewater from below-ground fixtures would back up, potentially causing a sewage overflow and flooding. If all of your plumbing is on the main floor or higher, gravity is sufficient and an ejector pump is not needed.
