"Great service. I googled several companies, but the receptionist was the best. she answered all my questions, even put me on hold twice while she asked a plumber get me an answer; none of the other companies would answer my questions, they only wanted to schedule an appointment. The plumber came right on time, kept his promise to call 30 minutes ahead so we were prepared. Walked and showed me everything I was asking about. The report was emailed to me within 2 hours. Great service"

"I received a high water bill after an extended period away from home and called Palm Springs Plumbing and Septic to assess my water system for leaks. David Duran responded the same day and identified a leak between the meter and the house. David and Dalton replaced the service line to the house within 48 hours and solved our problem. Palm Springs gave me excellent and timely service, kept me updated as to what they were doing, the timeframe to complete the job and offered a reasonable price for the work to be done. I’m glad to have a reliable and responsive plumber that I can count on when needed."

"For such a relatively small job, this one was interesting.  Since the house is 28 years old and built on a slab, there were some fascinating challenges, in my perspective.   In replacing the old modular shower with a new modular shower (of a different size) The new show had the drain in a different place.  Therefore, the concrete floor had to be drilled out and some old plumbing replaced.   Also, the footprint of the showers were different, so a creative tiling job had to be performed.   The end product of the shower was better than I expected. If I had the money, I would definitely have this team build a tile shower, but, alas, the modular was what I requested.
The granite top and faucets were installed with relative ease.  We wanted to have a new faucet and handles put on a garden tub, but after attempting to remove the old bathtub faucet, it was determined that the faucet was not removable from the top.  The team would have to go in though the sheet rock in another room to replace the faucet.  Needless to say, we eliminated that part of the project.   However, we do have new handles for the tub.   Also, an old tub drain cover was removed and replaced.
Dwight sub-contracted most of the work to Fat Boy Builders.   What a hoot.  These two guys, Anthony and Tracy, better known as "Tiny" and "Slim" kept us in stitches the entire time they were on the job.  These two guys showed their talent and skill with all the tearing out and replacement.  As funny as they were, they were totally serious about customer satisfaction.   We knew the work would be "subbed out".  We were informed of that initially; however, Dwight stayed in constant contact with the team, and Dwight assumed full responsibility for all issues and resolutions.   On the last day of the job, Dwight personally came back to perform all final "punch out" items.
I learned that I definitely do NOT want to be in the construction business.  There are too many challenges that require creative solutions.  This team was creative, personable, and fun to watch and interact with.   I learned to expect the unexpected, be patient, and try not to lose sleep over an issue that is unresolved at the end of the day.  I am the worrier type, and I simply needed to learn to trust the team to come up with appropriate, creative solutions.    Concrete slabs present their own set up issues.  In retrospect, I am surprised that Dwight even took this small, but challenging job.  A man of less character might have walked away from this situation once the challenges began to arise.
Also, sometimes good results take time.  Even though the estimated time to do the work was slightly exceeded, it was worth being patient and not rushing to completion.   Rushing to completion could have easily resulted in bad decisions about some of the issues that arose.  I will say that, once the job was started, Dwight did not leave us hanging on completing the job.  Someone was working on the job every day until completion.
I'm sure that each remodeling experience is unique, but at the end of the day, I am glad I picked West Georgia Build Design.

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

Pool leaks most commonly occur at joints or where different materials meet. The most frequent leak spots include:

  • The Pool Skimmer: Where the plastic skimmer meets the pool's liner or shell.

  • The Pool Liner: Tears can develop in vinyl liners, especially those between 5 and 20 years old. Leaks also occur around the liner's edge.

  • Fittings and Accessories: Areas around return lines, the main drain, and pool lights are common culprits.

  • Pool Equipment: The pump, filter, and filter housing can also leak.

While leaks in underground pipes are less common, they can be costly to fix. It's usually best to check the more common spots before investigating the plumbing system.

A sewage ejector pump is necessary if you have any plumbing fixtures, such as a bathroom, laundry room, or sink, located below the level of your home's main sewer line. Standard plumbing relies on gravity to move wastewater and solid waste to the municipal sewer or septic tank. However, for fixtures located below grade (e.g., in a basement), gravity is not sufficient.

The purpose of a sewage ejector pump is to actively pump this wastewater and solid waste upward into the main sewer line. Without an ejector pump in this situation, wastewater would have no way to exit and would eventually back up, causing a sewage overflow or flooding in your basement. If all of your home's plumbing is on the main floor or higher, gravity can handle the drainage, and an ejector pump is not needed.

You can start the process to set up utilities before closing on a new current property, but most companies won’t turn on electricity or gas until after the closing date. You’ll also need proof of ownership to get things going. The best way to do this is to contact the utility company as soon as possible and keep them up to date on the sale status. We recommend making contact one or two weeks before the closing date.

Connected a water line to a refrigerator is an intermediate project that’s perfect for DIYers. If your fridge and sink already have a water line and need replacing, then this task will be even easier. However, if you’re installing a water line for the first time, it should still be a doable project to take on. You’ll just need to install an adapter to your sink before you can connect the water line.

Tools include pipe wrenches, plungers, and augers. Professionals use advanced equipment for complex issues.
