"Corey was amazing to work with! He was responsive and super helpful. His service was great and we are very grateful for his timeliness in getting all of our HVAC duct work cleaned. After the cleaning, we were having some issues with the thermostat working and he went above and beyond to ensure it was fixed (without getting paid!!). I'd highly recommend his work."

"We were struggling to find someone to come and take a look at what was causing our HVAC to only blow out hot air and even personally recommended people from family and friends in the area were not getting back to us. We figured we might as well take a look on Angis list and I did not expect anyone to call since it was a Monday Holiday. We quickly received a call from Clint to see what we needed and we scheduled to have someone come out to us on Wednesday. It was amazing how accommodating they tried to be as well and stated that he could shuffle a few things around to even come on Tuesday. We left it for Wednesday since we werenâ t in an extreme emergency need. One of his guys came out (I feel terrible for forgetting his name) and he took a look at all the things until we found out it was a little cable that came undone from our Ecobee. We had a good laugh at the but then he stayed a bit to take a look at 2 mini splits we have in our basement. Quickly went through it with us and took some pictures so they could send us a quote to have them replaced. Their customer service is phenomenal and great on time!"

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

An air conditioner’s watt usage depends on multiple factors, including the type of AC unit, its size, and how often you use it. With that said, most central air conditioners consume between 3,000 and 3,500 watts. Meanwhile, window AC units use 900 to 1,400 watts, and portable air conditioners consume 2,900 to 4,100 watts.

Ceiling fans can be a great way to cool your home without the expensive utility bill of running an air conditioner. Plus, ceiling fans can sometimes run in both directions, pushing hot air down in winter and pulling cold air up in summer. With that said, air conditioning might be the only thing that helps if you live in a very warm climate.

No, a furnace is not the same thing as an AC, or air conditioner, but these are both parts of an HVAC system. They both use air ducts to transport cool or hot air around your home to achieve a comfortable temperature set by your thermostat. An AC runs on electricity, while a furnace can use different fuel sources.

The $5,000 rule for HVAC systems helps homeowners decide whether to repair or replace an AC or furnace. Take the quote for the HVAC repair cost and multiply that by the age of the HVAC system. If the total is higher than $5,000, it’s more cost-effective to replace the system. If the total is lower than $5,000, consider repairing the system.

Here’s how AC professionals will clean your AC coils:

  1. Unplug the AC unit or turn off the breaker to the unit in your circuit breaker box.

  2. Remove the faceplate.

  3. Spray a vacuum hose attachment or compressed air can to remove debris, dust, dirt, and grime.

  4. Use a soft-bristled fin comb to remove stubborn caked-on debris.

  5. Use the vacuum hose to suck up any extra debris.

  6. Take a coil-safe cleaning solution and spray it onto the coils. Try to choose a no-rinse solution.

  7. Let the solution sit for at least 15 minutes.

  8. Gently wipe away loosened grime and debris with a microfiber cloth.

  9. Reattach the faceplate, plug in your AC system, or turn the breaker back on.
