"I was very impressed with this company.  The estimator, Paul, was very informative and spent a great deal of time answering my questions and explaining the material to be used in the roof replacement. Aside from buying my home, this is the largest potential expense I've faced, so I was very deliberate in my approach to dealing with contractors.  The owner, Arthur Wells, visited my home prior to the job starting, took notes, and discussed my concerns about adding additional off-ridge vents on my roof (my peak area is too small for ridge vents).  He also came while his crew (not a subcontractor) was working on the house to check on how things were progressing. He is a hands-on guy who knows the roofing business, and takes his company's reputation very seriously.  On my job, Eric acted as the ground crew supervisor and personally rebuilt all of my chimney housing.  Another expert who does high quality work.

Kim at the office, does a great job of staying in touch with homeowner's and letting you know how the process is progressing with the insurance company.  My neighbor was so impressed with A. J. Wells that after his roof was damaged during a subsequent storm, he has hired them to replace his roof.   It's been a just over a month, and I had a question about my home insurance and building code endorsements for the policy, and asked Arthur Wells if I could get his opinion on these.  He returned my call and gave me good advice.

Finally, A.J. Wells is experienced in dealing with insurance companies.  They are very detailed about documenting additional damage found when the old roof is removed, and are very careful to document any steps they take to bring your new roof up to code.  As a result, even though they came in over their initial estimate, I had nothing to worry about - they worked everything out with my insurance company.  All I had to pay was my deductible.  I highly recommend this company.  It seems everybody is in the roofing business in Jacksonville, but very few do it right.  A.J. Wells does it right.

"They did a great job. They solved all the problems I had with the chimney and it’s been working perfectly ever since. They also fixed a problem on the roof around the chimney; they replaced the wood around the chimney with a material that would never rot, so they fixed it even better than it was before. It took them a couple of days to do the work. They took care of all the cleanup as well. We've been real happy with them."

"Scott came out on August 6, 2015 with several men to repair a leak in the roof at the back of the house. He replaced 2 lead boots.
Sealed top and installed ncropreme plumbing flanges and reshingled with desert tan shingles between and above plumbing
boots. Also sealed several loose shingle tubs.  The he painted flanges and pipe with a brown color to match. The whole project
took several hours and was completed very efficiently.  I would definitely use Roberts First Coast Roofing for all my roofing
needs in the future.

"The crew arrived on time, made the repairs I had contracted for, explained what they were doing along the way, and left the job neat and clean. Of 4 chimney contractors I had bid on this repair job, L D Phillips was the only one who could do the complete work needed. Very satisfied."
