Curtis is explained to me that our dryer vent did NOT need cleaning and pointed out that our dryer probably has a problem at 5 years of age. Evidently that is not uncommon these days. He only charged me a $30 service charge instead of the $125 fee for cleaning. What an honorable business man!

Service provider showed a picture of work performed. I was surprised that so much caulking was used and old topper was installed on new collar.ni thought price should of included new topper. After new cap was installed it rained. And I had a leak in the chimney and above our bathroom window.

Carl did a great job on replacing the back panel in my fireplace. He cleaned it up and also found a crack in the bottom that he was able to repair. I asked about the grate inside that I wanted to replace and he explained about the different sizes. He didn't get any ashes on my light carpet and told me how to remove them if I ever have that problem. I will definitely hire him again in the future. And I highly recommend him .

We were able to schedule a timely appointment. Curt was very prompt and provided excellent customer service. There was no mess and he made the whole process very easy. Price was very reasonable and exactly what he said it would be. Would definitely use them again.

They were good to come out but the fix did not last and my chimney was leaking worse than before at the cap...I tried to reach out several times by phone text and email, but there were no responses.

The chimney cap and metal cover blew off within 3 weeks of my paying him !,050.00. Nothing was properly attached to the stanchions or the chimney itself. He then "ghosted" me, wouldn't return texts, hung up on me once pretending phone difficulty. When I reviewed him right after he did the work everything seemed fine. We got a thunderstorm and all his repair blew off. I even sent him pictures of the damage. You need to remove him from your list. He may be good at small jobs but when his work fails he doesn't think it is his responsibility.

Curt stayed in touch, arrived on time and did a great job. The re-built fireplace looks like new and the work was done cleanly with great care to protect the area around the fireplace.

I am very happy with the repair / replacement Kurt made on my firebox floor and back panel. Kurt is a good communicator and educator. He completed the work efficiently and charged a fair price. I highly recommend him for your fireplace and chimney needs.

Will definitely hire again for any fireplace needs. He was very helpful and explained everything we needed to know about our chimney and fireplace, including how to keep it in working order. He also replaced our chimney cap and seal quickly and without incident.

Curt was on time, went right to work inspecting our chimney. It didn't need any cleaning. We are glad to get a good report and we trust Curt's knowledge. We are very pleased.

We are getting a gas fireplace insert for a wood-burning fireplace we have never used in the 3 yrs we've owned the house. I was having trouble finding someone to do the required inspection because they were either booked up, or we were too far away, etc. After many calls, I had finally booked with another company when Breathe-EZ called me back. When I asked him how much he would charge to do the inspection he told me $200. That was significantly less than the other company, so I cancelled the other and booked with him. He was able to come out just a couple days later. He informed my husband that we had a crack in the firebox back and floor, and that no one would install a gas insert with the firebox in that condition because it was a fire hazard. But lucky for us he happened to have the parts to replace those items, and if we decided to get it repaired right then he would discount the $200 for the inspection. He also indicated that if he had to come back out later, it would be a higher price. Not knowing any better, we agreed to this. One thousand dollars later, the work was done and the inspection report was sent. Fast forward a few days ... our gas contractor stopped by and we relayed our experience to him. He just about choked when we told him what we were charged. First, he said that the cracked pieces we had would NOT have been a problem - all we needed to do was paint over with fire-resistant coating. And then he told us that the two firebox slabs we bought could have been given to us FREE by his company if I had only asked him (((facepalm))) I will rate 5 stars for the work quality because the new pieces were installed correctly, and the report was sent promptly. But knowing what I know now, I feel quite ripped off. Yes, he did discount the $200 fee for the inspection, but had neglected to tell me there would also be a $200 fee to clean the chimney, so it would have been $400 for the call even without the repairs. Like I said, we never used the fireplace so I wouldn't have just known that this was going to need to be done along with the inspection.
