"My toilet started backing up into my bathtub, I called Anytime Septic Solutions and spoke with Larry. Larry seemed very concerned about my problem. It was after business hours, therefore, it would have been considered an emergency if he sent a truck out. He told me he could sent a truck out the next morning, but he would stop by on his way home to assess the problem, which he did not have to do and for which I am very grateful. Jare called me the next morning and said he would be there at 8:45 AM, and Jare was there at 8:45 AM. Jare showed and explained how the problem occurred. Larry and Jare both told me how to prevent it in the future. They were friendly, professional, and knowledgeable and went over and above my expectations. This is now the only company I will use for my septic tank. I would highly recommend this company."

Septic Tanks questions, answered by experts

Adding a thin layer of dirt over a septic drain field is fine, especially if soil erosion has occurred. However, adding too much dirt can compact the soil, reducing the drain field’s ability to absorb and filter wastewater properly. Avoid using heavy clay soil, as it can prevent proper drainage. Instead, use a light layer of topsoil and plant grass to help with soil stability.

While homeowners connected to a municipal sewer line still have to keep up with plumbing maintenance, the downside to a septic system is that all the maintenance falls on the homeowners. Not calling in a pro to pump the tank every few years or accidentally flushing or draining the wrong types of materials can quickly cause clogs, which can back up into drains around the home.

DIY is not recommended due to safety and technical requirements. Hire professionals for accurate diagnosis and repair.

The bacteria already present in your septic system should be enough to break down solids in a properly maintained septic tank. However, if you’re in a DIY mood, you can try adding (well-mashed) rotten tomatoes to help the good bacteria fulfill their duty. Just make sure you give them a couple hours to work after flushing them down.

Permits command adherence to health and environmental standards, with submission crucial for new system installations or extensive modifications.
