Small jobs welcome

"They were very fast in getting a quote back to me, and were willing to do the job within 2 days, as they were in the area! Barely had enough time to check other quotes. They were up to 40 percent less than the two other quotes. Neil just does the job, no extra frills you do not need. The other companies were trying to pack in crap I did not need. These guys just do insulation, and they do it well. Fast, neat, personable, on time, good communications. Just what you want, and nothing else. Highly recommend."

"My house has never been properly insulated and Jeff was very kind he knows my tragic losses and was very comforting and bless me. I told him I would recommend your company to anybody in my neighborhood who has not had insulation like myself. I’ve been here close to 40 years and I will continue to honor your name for quality work and professionalism. That deserves a commercial I recoup my expenses on my commercial with you people."

"I had an amazing experience with this spray foam insulation company. From the first phone call, they were upfront, honest, and very knowledgeable. The crew showed up exactly when they said they would and walked me through the whole process before starting. They insulated my attic and part of my garage, and the difference was noticeable the same day ? the rooms stay cooler, and the AC doesn?t run nearly as much"

"Do not use this company for inspections. Not worth any price. Full home inspector found many places of dry rot and wood ant infestation. Termite inspector walked around with flash light. We forced him to inspect the attic. Can not recommend!!!!! update: The manager called to apologize and offered to give me a free inspection or refund. I took the refund. This showed that the company cared about the work. They said this employee would no longer be on service calls alone. This proves they are a responsible company."

Insulation questions, answered by experts

R-30 insulation is better for higher thermal resistance, but whether it’s "better" depends on the application. R-30 is much thicker and suited for areas like attics or floors in cold climates, where more insulation is required. R-13, on the other hand, is thinner and works well for 2x4 walls or milder climates where less insulation is sufficient. Choosing between R-13 and R-30 depends on the area being insulated and the climate. For example, R-30 provides more insulation but may not fit everywhere in your home.

Whether you should remove old insulation before blowing in new insulation depends on your particular situation. Fiberglass insulation attracts insects and mold over time, so if it has been decades since your last insulation upgrade, consider removing the old materials before placing the new ones. However, most types resist mold, insects, and mildew, so once you get the go-ahead from your contractor that your space is free from all three, feel free to install the new insulation directly on top of the pre-existing materials.

Yes, there are government incentives available in some regions for insulating air ducts as part of energy-efficient upgrades. These incentives aim to encourage homeowners and businesses to improve energy efficiency and reduce their carbon footprint. To determine whether you qualify for such incentives, check with your local utility company or government agencies. They often offer rebates, tax credits, or other financial incentives that can help offset the cost of duct insulation projects.

Costs depend on insulation material, labor, accessibility, and whether existing insulation requires removal.

In addition to adding insulation to your attic, you may want to add a radiant barrier. A radiant barrier works by using reflective material, such as foil, on the attic floor. As heat penetrates the roof and enters the attic, the radiant barrier reflects the heat upward and back through the roof. If you receive a lot of direct sunlight on the roof, using both a radiant barrier and insulation in your attic can provide significant benefits.
