"I was very impressed with the expedient service that Fabio of South Florida Appliance Specialist accomplished. Not only was the response time quick but Fabio within 5 minutes diagnosed the problem and knew exactly what was wrong. He started the refrigerator, ordered the part needed, and the next day it was installed. Kudos to South Florida Appliance Specialist and Fabio for such great customer service. Thanks!"

"While having some basic work done around my home, a worker discovered some mold behind a section of base-board. On a recommendation from a friend, I contacted Maso Restoration and made an appointment with them for the next day, Upon arrival they immediately set to work on finding the source of water. Within days they had figured out the leak, had it fixed, and removed all the mold and contaminated material. They were clean, neat, professional, and treated us and our home with respect. We literally couldn't have asked for anything more. I have referred many friends to them since then and so far- not a single complaint."

"I am more than happy to recommend Jason's Septic and will be using them again for sure.  Their responsiveness was second to none, their attitude was "how can I help?", and their professionalism was evident.  I am a happy customer.
Last night we noticed that the shower in the back bathroom (Florida room) was backing up with sewage--yuck!  Both bathrooms were blocked up and could not be used.  This is not fun with 3 little kids.  My husband tried to snake it himself with no luck.  We called three places last night at about 7:45pm.  By 8pm, Brittany called me back and scheduled a visit for 7:30am today, saying she'd try to get the guys there even earlier if possible.  She told me that the pump out would cost $220 and possibly an additional $50-75 for the snake if necessary.  I was okay with that if it would get our bathrooms working again quickly.
We were a bit impatient to get this unclogged, and by 7:32am today my husband called to ask where they were.  Stuck in traffic.  Tommy and Josh arrived at about ten after 8am.  They were polite, professional, and friendly, and they immediately set about looking for the tank, thinking they would pump it out.  We ran into a couple problems.
The first problem was we had no marker for the tank, which was installed by a different company 9 years ago.  After poking several holes and even digging a few feet down, there was no tank!  If it was less than 4 feet down, they should have found it, so it may have been too dep.  Tommy looked out back for another way into the line (saying that sometimes the put connectors accessible that way) with no luck.  Then Tommy suggested snaking the line from the roof, saying that it might unclog the drains for now.  We asked if they could use some sort of device to locate the tank, and they said yes but that they don't have that equipment and that service costs $175.  He said he'd rather try using the roof top snake to get us going today and have us schedule a pump out and locator for another day.
The next problem was that we had no ladder to reach the roof b/c my husband needed to bring it to work!  They had no ladder on the truck (scratches the paint, apparently), so I went around to a few neighbors seeking a ladder, and no one  was home.  What to do?  I did not want them to leave without fixing this!!  Saying there's more than one way to skin a cat, Tommy volunteered to back their truck up to our house and walk onto the roof from there.  Crazy, I thought, but he did it and made it look easy.  Josh passed him the snake and he got to work.  Within minutes, he told me to try flushing the toilets (which scared me a bit b/c last night that made everything back up into the shower).  Well, holding my breath, I flushed first one then the other toilet.  No backup into the shower!  Fantastic!!
They charged me $100 for a service call after being here for just about 2 hours (the digging took about an hour or so, followed by my fruitless search for a ladder; the snaking out took very little time).  I was more than happy to pay that fee.
I then went to call to schedule the locator and they said that their locator only locates 4 feet deep.  They suggested calling a plumber to locate if it's deeper b/c that way I won't have to pay them and the plumber in addition to the pump out.  I was impressed (although one wonders why they don't get the equipment the plumber uses, right?)  and asked for a plumber recommendation.  I will be calling to schedule the location and then the pump out asap.  Just taking the time to write this review first.
It's worth noting that one of the other two companies I called last night called me back this morning around 9am.  The other one has yet to call me back, and it's 10:40am the day after I called with an emergency.

"Sosso did an absolutely beautiful job installing the complicated ceramic and marble tiles in our master bathroom. He did the tiles in the shower, walls, and floors. He communicated well with us, worked very hard to do a perfect job (long days to get it done), and he was very easy to work with overall!!"

Install Garbage Disposal questions, answered by experts

These appliances certainly increase the number of things allowed down the drain, but they’re not foolproof. There are several items you shouldn’t put in your garbage disposal, according to manufacturers and technicians. Don’t put coffee grounds down the drain. The same goes for eggshells, potato peels, hard foods, onion skins, and any dry, expandable food. Most importantly, never put grease or oils down the drain.

Soil is just one of the items you shouldn't put down a garbage disposal. Garbage disposals are only meant for soft, non-fibrous foods. Large amounts of topsoil, dirt, or rocks will damage the blades of your garbage disposal or clog the pipes. If a small amount of dirt goes down the drain as you repot a plant, you shouldn't have to worry, but never dump a whole pot of soil in the sink for fast disposal.

If your garbage disposal powers up and you can hear it hum, but the arms inside aren’t moving, the problem might be a stubborn clog, a build-up of grease, or a jam of the impeller plate. To troubleshoot these, ensure your unit is off and disconnected from its power source before checking inside the drain or attempting to manually rotate the impeller arms or plate from the underside of the unit. A hex wrench can help.

Whether it's worth repairing your garbage disposal depends on its age and the specific problem. Generally, if the unit is eight years old or younger, repair is a good option. For minor issues like a bad seal or a simple jam, a repair can be inexpensive, sometimes under $10. However, if the motor is broken (a repair that can cost $150 or more) or the unit is getting old, it's often more cost-effective to replace the entire disposal.

In some cases, it’s more cost-effective in the long run to replace a garbage disposal, but it depends on the specific issue you’re having and the age of your disposal. You should ask a garbage disposal repair tech for a quote to repair your appliance and then see if it would be more worthwhile to replace it. Additionally, garbage disposals last for around 15 years, so if you know your appliance is reaching that age, it’s likely better to pay for a new garbage disposal rather than sink money into repairs.
