Carlos answered my questions about drainage intake and outgo from dishwasher as well as disposal. He took away the old unit in the box of the new unit to throw away. Milan & Son's cost to me for the garbage disposal and installation was going to be $250 but there was a  10% discount because of Angie's List which brought it down to $225.  Thus if they paid full retail price for the garbage disposal, they received $138 for 15 minutes of work.   It appears plumbers get paid well.
