"Couldn’t figure out why was not flushing correctly, but when you have kids anything as possible. My guy came over and did everything he could assessing the situation and to find out, it was actually inside the toilet and not in the pipe. Everything was broken down, completely cleaned out. He even ran back out to the store to get me the exact seal that I needed to remount the toilet at no extra cost to me. But as always, you hook your people up when they do a good job. Cleaned up after himself very friendly, and very communicative of what he was doing. Thank you again, brother!"

"Above All Plumbing was very prompt called me right away. They arrived on time I had a stoppage that was in the line that I thought at least they brought a snake machine in my home and remove the toilet and ran the snake and couldnâ t clear stoppage at that point they ran camera and found my line to be broken And cast-iron from my house to the street was totally corroded. These guys were awesome. They found the problem with their equipment and located at least 10 feet of my line was corroded with roots and shattered pipe. They explained to me that they could either fix a portion or redo the whole line. I decided to replace the whole line And they even worked with me on the price. I am so grateful I found these guys thumbs up to Above All Plumbing itâ s nice to know that there are plumbers that know what theyâ re doing and that are so professional in their trade. I highly recommend this company to anyone with plumbing issues. They are very nice people And they will get the job done and work with you."

Toilets questions, answered by experts

Completing a full standard bathroom remodel offers the best value, with an average return on investment (ROI) of 70%. However, you don't need a full remodel to make an impact. To maximize value, focus on key components like flooring, the tub and shower, vanity, and cabinets. High-value upgrades include installing a walk-in shower, resurfacing a tub, retiling, or expanding the shower. For more budget-friendly options that still increase value, consider repainting with a light, neutral color, or updating the mirror and light fixtures. It's also crucial to address any necessary repairs, such as leaks, mold, or cracked tiles, as buyers will notice these issues. Avoid flashy upgrades like bathtub jets or steam showers, which don't add as much value.

Brown stains in your toilet bowl are most likely limescale. Limescale happens from lime being left behind from hard water evaporating. Once dried out, the minerals also catch dirt and bacteria which eventually accumulate into the brown or blackish stain you see in your toilet. To remove thick and hard limescale from your toilet, use a mixture of vinegar, lemon juice, and baking soda, and scrub with a metal scrubbing brush.

This rumbling noise after flushing may sound like a hammer or knocking inside the walls. When you flush, it opens a valve so additional water can come in. However, if the valve malfunctions, then this rush of water has nowhere to go, which makes all the excess water hit your pipes and create a loud hammering sound.

The Thanksgiving holiday period is one of the busiest times of the year for plumbers. Both Thanksgiving Day and the day after, often called Black Friday or "Brown Friday" by plumbing professionals, see a significant increase in service requests. This is because a house full of guests, large holiday meals, and unfamiliarity with the home's plumbing can lead to clogged drains, garbage disposal issues, and sewer line backups. Outside of the holidays, the busiest weekdays for plumbers are typically Monday and Tuesday, as many people discover plumbing problems over the weekend but wait to call for service. Despite the holiday, you can rest assured that many plumbers work on Thanksgiving and Black Friday to handle the surge in emergency calls.

For best results, you should remove the toilet in a bathroom before removing tile or installing new tile. If you don’t remove the toilet, it will be harder to fully waterproof the tile around the toilet, which could increase the risk of mold growth or plumbing leaks. If you have trouble removing the toilet, hire a plumber to help.
