"I was very satisfied with every phase of the work required to restore my terrazzo floors. Micheal sent his top crew and they delivered what was promised. Joel, the project manager and his partner turned an old dark, dingy, dirty original floor into a gleaming mid-century craftmans beautifully restored gem. I thank American Stone Kare for helping me restore and preserve these classic Old Florida floors, rather than cover them up. Thank you."

"I cannot say enough about the quality of the work Eric provided for us. He removed an undermounted quartz sink that had cracked our granite. He repaired the granite and installed our new drop-in stainless sink. He also reapplied caulking to every seam on all kitchen counters, and sesled the granite. I asked him if he repairs cupboard hinges too and he fixed those before he left. He did not leave until his workspace was clean. I am so very happy with his work, his wife who kept in contact and the price for his excellent work. I highly recommend Eric and Sunshine Luxury."

"This was an absolute dream experience. I couldn’t have asked for any easier transaction than what I had with this company. Robert went above and beyond helping me with options and was in contact with me the entire time the installers were at my home. Not only was Robert super nice and professional but so were the installers. They were thorough and courteous and very respectful and cleaned everything once they were done with the install. I couldn’t be any happier with this entire process and would definitely purchase from them again and I highly recommend this company."

Marble Restoration questions, answered by experts

Quartz countertops are known for their durability, but they aren’t indestructible. Quartz countertops can crack under extreme pressure, like when experiencing a heavy impact. The same can happen with regular exposure to high temperatures. Finally, improper installation makes the quartz more vulnerable.

Most repairs take 2-4 hours. Extensive repairs or full refinishing may require additional time, typically up to a full day.

Engineered quartz is an artificial, nonporous material made from a mix of mined ground quartz, polymer resins, and pigments, making it a lower-maintenance option. In contrast, quartzite is a natural stone composed of sandstone, which makes it highly resistant to heat but often requires sealing and more careful upkeep. You should clean both types of stone with non-abrasive cleaners that have a low or neutral pH, avoiding acidic cleaners like vinegar, as well as wire brushes and scouring pads.

There are a few ways to remove calcium buildup in your pipes, but the most natural option involves vinegar, baking soda, and boiling water. To use this method, pour 1/2 cup of vinegar down the drain you're trying to clear, then follow it up with 1/2 cup of baking soda. Place a rag over the drain to create a light seal and leave it for 30 minutes. Remove the rag, then pour a pot of boiling water into the drain. After the water drains, wipe everything down with a sponge.

Silestone® is a low-maintenance countertop material, but certain things, like strong chemicals and solvents, can cause damage. Abrasive scrubs can cause scratches, and products that contain oil or powder can leave a residue. Finally, avoid letting oven cleaner come into contact with Silestone® because it can cause discoloration.
