"I was very pleased with their work. The whole family is involved and did a great job. They cleaned at the level I haven't done in years. They did all the blinds, baseboards, scrubbed the bathrooms and the kitchen, dusted all the fans, moved furniture and books to clean behind , they vacuumed, mopped, and cleaned and cleaned. I didn't realize just how badly the house needed this thorough cleaning. They stayed with it until the house was the cleanest I've had in years. I like my home again, now that it is so clean! Great value for my money."

House Cleaning questions, answered by experts

No. There are other ways to sanitize and disinfect your washing machine, including white vinegar, vinegar and baking soda, citric acid, or hydrogen peroxide.

After you clean mildew or mold that appears in your home, you expect the nasty odor to disappear, too. Sometimes, though, the odor can linger after cleaning. To get rid of a mold smell, you may need to clean the area every few days for a few weeks. Use a dehumidifier or fans to try to remove moisture from the area. If the odor remains after a few weeks, you may still have mold or mildew in the area. Call a mold testing professional for another inspection.

Yes, many professionals use biodegradable detergents and water-efficient cleaning techniques to minimize environmental impact.

The most sanitary way to mop a floor is with a microfiber mop and two buckets of water: one with cleaning solution and one without. Use the soapy water to mop the floor and rinse the mop in the clean water. When the water gets dirty, pour it out and replace it with new water. This mopping technique ensures the mop stays cleaner and prevents the spread of dirt and bacteria.

The formula for neutralizing skunk smell is one quart of 3% hydrogen peroxide, ¼ cup baking soda, and one to two teaspoons of dish soap. The University of Nebraska says a chemist discovered that this mixture changes the thiols, the chemical compound that causes the odor, into acids that don’t carry a skunk smell, thus eliminating the odor.
