"The RELIABLE name suits them, as they arrived on time and did excellent work in completing the project agreed upon, and for a reasonable price. I was both impressed and surprised at the professional and friendly-ness of there team --- a quality you don't find much these days. I am planning another project and RELIABLE TREE & LANDSCAPE SOLUTIONS will be the company I call."

"I had three large trees removed, a few trees pruned, and a large area of land cleared from brush and small trees. I was extremely pleased with their excellent service and they completed everything in one day. And they did a great job cleaning up - leaving nothing behind. What I liked most about their service was that they did above and beyond what was requested because they saw it was needed, and they did the extras without additional cost. They even removed a few rotting stumps from my yard as they were packing up. They were friendly and professional and Steven Porter answered his phone each time I called to set up the work. The total cost was extremely reasonable. I couldn't be more pleased. I will happily be using Causseaux Tractor Works again."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

It depends on where you live—but in most areas, leaves begin falling in September and continue falling until January or February. Warmer regions, such as Southern states, may see leaves fall a bit later in the calendar year. It also depends on the type of trees in your yard and their maturity.

In the short term, you’ll have a lot of fallen trees to deal with. Tree removal services costs typically start at $200 per tree and increase based on species and size. Then, you’ll have to deal with the loss of trees: That means a loss of shade and a greater risk of rain runoff and erosion. Also, you’ll miss out on the health and aesthetic benefits of having trees on your property, which could even affect the resale value of your home.

That being said, cutting down a tree it’s not always a bad idea. Trees growing too close to rooftops can present fire hazards or debris problems. You may need to remove diseased or dying trees to prevent future issues.

Some people prefer to leave or even carve a leftover stump, but we recommend removing it if possible. You can often dig out smaller trunks with a shovel once they have died and dried out. You can have stumps professionally removed, or request a service to grind them down to ground level so they can be replaced with other landscaping or objects.

Not all leaning trees are dangerous, but they can be a hazard as gravity may eventually cause them to fall. A key factor is whether the lean is new or has been present for a long time. Trees that have grown with a lean for years are not typically an immediate danger, but a sudden lean is a cause for concern as it often indicates weakening roots. If a tree is leaning more than 15% from vertical, you should consider having it straightened or transplanted. To be safe, it's always best to hire a professional arborist to inspect any leaning tree to assess the risk and avoid potential accidents.

Pruning is an effective way to prevent a diseased branch from infecting the rest of the tree. If the infection isn’t caught early enough and the pathogen has spread to the trunk or the majority of the branches though, it is too late to prune off the affected areas and you’ll likely need to remove the tree.
