He also fixed a short in the connection for my over the stove microwave, which I had been having trouble with for a while, and was getting to be a safety concern. I also wanted him to replace a smoke detector, also on the high ceiling, and since they were all over 20 years old, he talked me into replacing all 5 of them in the house.
