"It ended up we needed a new thermostat. The tech could have very easily convinced us that the blower motor had failed and required more major service as he first suspected. This was the 2nd service call on this unit in 3 months with same symptoms. I'm certain the thermostat was the problem during that first service as well since the tenant stated the main cover of the thermostat had fallen off the day before and the service tech "tweaked" the connectors on the thermostat AFTER doing his $350 service job on the main unit.
