"Chris called me and I told him what I needed, he then gave me a very reasonable offer. We scheduled for the next morning, he showed up and explained everything he was doing and what my issues were. He then completely cleaned the lint out of my dryer and out of my dryer duct, installed a better tube to run from my dryer to the duct and then cleaned up any mess that was made in the process, like he was never even there. Chris was very professional, very polite and very honest, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to somebody else or to hire him again if needed. If Chris sees this, thank you for such excellent work."

"I hired the Right Cleaners to clean my 84 year old mother's new apartment. We needed a great cleaning service, but also one we could trust to do the extra little things we needed, which were above and beyond just normal cleaning. They have done a great job cleaning as well as helping her take care of other little things, like removing large trash items and putting new litter in her cat's box. We know we made the right choice, my mother is so happy to have a squeaky clean apartment and people she can trust to come in her new apartment every two weeks. We highly recommend them, they showed up on time and are friendly and dependable at a very fair price."

Sonic Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Tile roofs, including clay, concrete, and slate, are considered low-maintenance materials that require fewer repairs and less care than many other roofing options.

  • Clay tiles require minimal maintenance. They stand up well to the elements and UV radiation, repel water, and do not easily stain, discolor, or fade in direct sunlight. Clay tiles do not need sealing. Maintenance is typically only required to replace cracked tiles, which can be caused by foot traffic, extreme weather, or fallen tree limbs.

  • Concrete tiles are also low-maintenance but require more upkeep than clay. They need to be sealed every few years to maintain water resistance, and their color tends to fade more quickly than clay.

Aside from these material-specific needs, general maintenance for tile roofs includes annual inspections, routine gutter cleaning, and addressing repairs as they arise. A well-maintained tile roof can provide 50 to 100 years or more of protection for your home.

Vinegar will not damage your roof shingles. Using vinegar to wash your roof is an effective and popular cleaning method for asphalt shingles. You can buy white vinegar with varying concentrations of acetic acid. Typically, 5% is all you need for a good roof cleaning, but if you’ve got stubborn stains or moss you can go as high as 25%.

Roof cleaning can damage shingles if it’s done incorrectly—like with a high-power power washer—but it likely won’t damage your roof if you pay to have an expert do the work. A professional roof cleaner will use a gentle cleaning solution and a cleaning method that matches your roof material to ensure the process doesn’t damage the roof. Some homeowners worry that roof cleaning will shorten the life of their roof by removing shingle particles or protective coatings, but it often extends roof life by removing plants that cause damage and improves your home’s curb appeal simultaneously.

Long-handled telescopic brushes are the best way to clean the outside of a house without a pressure washer. There are even special attachments for cleaning the outside of windows. Use a gentle cleaning solution for both the roof and siding to avoid harming the finishes. Be sure to rinse the area thoroughly with a garden hose after scrubbing.

While it’s not completely necessary for them to operate properly, as the occasional rainfall can rinse away dirt and debris, manually cleaning solar panels from time to time can keep them operating more efficiently.

Dirt, debris, pollen, and bird droppings can collect on the surface of the panels. Depending on the amount of solar panels you have, this can add up over time, so set a regular maintenance schedule. Moreover, if you live in a climate with little to no rainfall, more debris can accumulate, causing inefficiencies that would be clear in your electricity bill.
